sorry to hear about your problems but you are alive and thats
what really important,you will have good gear with time thanks
to staindbass so even though you lost stuff you will still be able
to play bass and have fun,good luck man, i hope that you wouldn't need to face any other nature disaster

I am sorry to hear about your losses. I lost several basses in the mid eighties from an earthquake while I was stationed overseas including a Steinie L-2 bass. I sent you a PM about a Broadneck Streamer 5 hanging in a local music shop. I wish you well, and hope that you find peace in life soon.

Man, I'm so sorry to hear about all that you lost - though I'm glad that you and your family are OK. I understand about it being "just stuff" yet still being hard to deal with losing...you worked hard to get your collection the way you wanted it.

If you have a Paypal address, I'll gladly send you what I can - it's not much, but maybe it will be a "kickstart" to getting at least one of your basses replaced. I'd much rather spend that $15-$20 on you, than have it sitting in the account. PM me if you'd like.

To the OP. I am so thankfull that you and your family made it thru. So sorry about your basses and your pet :( If you can scrap enough togeather (is there some where we can donate to?) I would recomened a Geddy Lee Jazz. I know it is not made in USA but is still a fine instrument and you can usally find them used for a good price.

Also I know it has been said but Staindbass is the man!!!

Rarebasses - I wish you all the best getting back on your feet. I'm reminded of the Nashville floods, and the recent tornadoes that blew through North Georgia, and all the losses there. Just out of curiosity (and as a warning to the rest of us that might live in tornado or flood zones), did you have insurance? Any kind of special rider for your gear?
What would you do differently (besides pack the basses & take them with you to the car)?

Staindbass - You just might be too classy for this group of low-thumping miscreants, but I count myself luck to have you as part of this group.

This is why I hang around TB. Bass players are family.

I hope you are able to get back to life soon. It will get better a day at a time :).
