Jule Amps Monique part 4

Had it custom made by Studio Slips....GREAT bag! The first one they sent me didn't fit the Minnie correctly so they took it back and remade it for me for free! Hold the Monique, Minnie, and all my cables!! It's awesome.

I see that StudioSlips has a stock 'De-Monique' soft briefcase. Similar to the Mooradian product. Might go with that when mine comes, with padded handles and a front cable pocket. About the same price as the Mooradian with those options (maybe a touch less). I do like the Mooradian product a lot, but that 'canvas' sort of material seems a little bit more heavy duty on the StudioSlip bag.

Ken, the material of the slip bag is very similar to the material mooradian bags are made of. I had to have mine custom done to fit the Minnie and my cables but it was pretty affordable and makes things SO easy. Whe I fly, I carry on both my bass and the bag. Goes right under the seat!

Cool. Didn't know what the canvas description was on the site. I'll just stick to the Mooradian plan. Been using their amp bags for 20 years plus. Lifetime warranty, and amazing quality.

Well over the last weekend I headed to Pittsburgh and tried the Tardis and the Dovecage. Both were amazing. We went thru an Audiokinesis Thunderchild 1x12 for the Tardis and a 1x15 ( forgot the name sorry :rollno:). It was a real pleasure trying them out. Having the De Monique coupled with the Demeter really made me forget I was powering the pre with a class D power amp. They really nailed the best of the portable meets tonal quality I have seen in one package. Kudos to Jule, James and Duke!!

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd post my soft case solution: Lowepro Nova Sport 35L AW

Fits perfectly.

Michael.

The Monique's huge tubeness and fidelity make it seem a non issue what your power amp is, class or type.

To me, the more transparent the amp the more Monique can deliver the fullness plus clarity.

Why would the class of power amp have anything to do with anything? This is yet another example of the overwhelming impact of the preamp on the tone of a bass rig. Power is, for the most part, power:smug:

So which one are you getting then? Since Michael has the Bamboo and I have the Dovecage you'd better get the Desktop so we can compare whether the casing makes any difference. ;)

OH NO!!;);)

The Wood matters/doesn't matter club cross pollinates!!
Is the Dove Cage best for Metal? ;);););)
I think the Tardis and Rackmount versions have more of a horizontal sound because of the tube layout. If this sounds subjective and you disagree with me, you're wrong!;);)
