You made some interesting comments on gain-staging with the pedals, too. I rarely play with pedals -- I confess to being pretty green where they're concerned -- and, when I have, it's usually been more as an effect, but they seem to be an integral (and well-implemented) part of your tone.

Thanks for the kind words Mark, and of course no problem re-posting the chain: I'm more than happy for anyone to "steal" it ;)

Pedals can definitely be a bit of a rabbit hole, but I've found a versatile, portable pedal board to be an indispensable tool - especially for performing with anything other than your own personal rig on tours, fly dates, TV, studio sessions, etc.

I always know exactly what the engineer is getting :thumbsup:

Speaking of which.... @juledude, how's Simone?

I know this is an old post, but if you still have the Mono case would you be able to post the interior measurements?
I'm looking to do the same thing but I'm curious if Mo/Minnie will fit the other way and how much space there is.

About 40cm x 33cm x 18cm.. the available space is pretty same as what you saw in the pic.

None of those would give you a tube amp in one chassis, a la an SVT (or whatever), but they'd be different avenues to experiencing Mo with a tube power section. From what I've read of the Demmie, that could be a pretty killer combo if you're willing to lug a 4U power amp. If you're asking about an all-tube Monique, though, you just might be!

Sorry Mark. I know I'm reaching way back and focusing on off topic, but do you or anybody else know how much a Demeter VTHF-300M weighs? I know it's very heavy.

Sorry, I don't. I had a look at the product page (Tube Power Amps Comparison: Demeter VTHF-300M vs. Aguilar DB728) which lists the dimensions and other specs, but not the weight.

A quick TB search turned up this comparative review of the Demeter and Aggie tube power amps: Tube Power Amps Comparison: Demeter VTHF-300M vs. Aguilar DB728

It doesn't mention the weight, either, but does state that the Demeter is lighter than the Aggie -- you might find it interesting on other counts, as well.

I have not played the VTHF-300M. I would drop James Demeter a line and see what he says.

If I were contemplating pairing Monique with a tube power-amp I would, aside from the usual research, check the input sensitivity and impedance of the amp to make sure they'll play well together (I wouldn't anticipate problems, but it doesn't hurt to check). I would consider my cab choice as well -- in my admittedly limited experience with tube power, some cabs seem more suited to it than others, though I'm sure that that depends on the specific pieces in question and on what sort of sound and feel you're going for.

I couldn't find the weight even though I'd been scouring the net too. If it's lighter then the DB728 it would have to be below 57 lbs. Ok, I guess I'll call Demeter anyway. I was just curious. I had a lot of time this morning so I got interested. Have a great day, guys.
