Jule Amps Monique part 5

I posted a couple pics in the thread for the Bass Thunder II here on TB. The presentation of the new amplifier was truly only intended for my testing purposes. The final, delivered article will look nothing like what is in the pictures. In fact, I had to make sure nobody stuck their fingers in too close so we didn't have to bring 'round the paramedics.

Sure was a good bunch of people.

All I saw was some crazy aluminum thing with some wires hanging from it. I was hoping to see a sleek, ultra low-profile unit that sits under Monique with the same footprint and connects to her using an elegant "slide-on" locking rail connector. Or perhaps something like that

See ya gotta ask for the moon when he gives you the sun. :)
It's going to fit underneath by the adhesion principles of non linear trans conduit perspective.
It will sound like all get out.
Some pres are great but may have you yearning for power tubes.
I find Monique takes that tone halfway into the power tube realm while delivering the best of high voltage preamp taste and texture.
For me the fat plus speed and articulation does me righteous. :)

Totally agree. I abuse my friends mightily by having them test some crazy things. . . But it all works out in the end.

I'm thinking one of those round things on top of the refrigerators when I was a kid. That oughta cool it. Truth is, the chassis, the assembly routine, and the little bits take up a crazy amount of development time. But I am very close.

Here's a little example of fretless bass recorded through the Monique.

When we put something together there is, no matter what we like to think, a voice for it all. This song, is so pretty, so clear, so beautiful, so beautifully executed. It certainly part of what I had in my head. Thank you for sharing it Jonny.

Just joined the club after months of waiting since Winter NAMM! Absolutely love this rig! (Monique + Minnie 800D + 2 x Bergs CN112)
Love the weight from the notes and how warm it is. Thanks Jule!

You are too humble my friend. It is a great service you do for the Bass World of Hong Kong. Thank you for including Monique. When I grow up I am going to play like you.

Question for those of you with a Minnie and a Dovecage/Bamboo Monique....

Are the lights on your Minnie and Monique different colours? Both have the same blue lenses but the LED in the Minnie is a much different blue than Monique (regular bulb).

Not a big deal, but it kinda drives me nuts.

Right.. They are in different color.. Kinda drives me nuts too .. Haha

Ok, thx. Mine is the same. I sent my Monique to Jule for upgrades and he said there is nothing he could do. Not his fault, but I don't understand why Demeter wouldn't use the same bulb as Monique. The Minnie is intended to "match" with the Dovecage. Why have a mismatched light?

Nitpicking in any case, but annoying.
