Jule Amps Monique part 5

I have the same color difference. I would rather they were the same. I haven't tried to just change the bulb, are we saying that will not work?

That is correct. Without knowing what you are doing (like me), it will not work. The lens/jewel is the exact same but the Monique uses a bulb and the Minnie has an LED.

I'm sure it could physically be done, but I may just buy a red, white or green jewel so they are completely different instead of 2 different shades of blue.

Not a big deal, but what else am I going to bitch about on the internet on a lazy Sunday night?:p

The different colors of the Minnie and Monique pilot lamps are the only thing that has bothered me about these amps.
Other than that they are perfect, and the lamp issue is really a very minor thing...
I was thinking about replacing the LED in Minnie with a regular bulb, but Demeter advised me not to do it.
The LED is running on 12VDVC vs. 6,3VAC. So now I have ordered some LED bulbs to try out in Monique.
I also have different frosted green, red, amber and blue lenses to try. They will shine equal eventually... :)

Has anyone played Monique/Minnie through a Bergantino HD212?
I found a nice local second-hand deal for the Berg.

I've been looking for a cab with more classic rock sound than my TC115. What do you think?

I'm guessing it would cover pretty much any gig for me volume wise, since there's a PA in almost every club and bar in Finland.

Btw; Any experience with Monique/Minnie into one of Bergs NV cabs? 610 and 412 seem quite interesting, but most people seem to be using them with all-tube heads.

I have not tried Monique/Minnie into any of my big NV cabs, but they pair up great with the HD212. Very full tone; hits like a ton of bricks.

Oh no you didn't........;)
I dislike bright lights (Nordic eyes), but I don't know where James gets his lenses. Knowing him I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't working from a large pile that he purchased 20 years ago. :-) The lenses are easily changed. I prefer the "frosted" lenses, but nobody seems to be making them anymore. And I have studio-folken who stick a small washer between the bulb and the lens to lower the light level.

I had my first gig with the Monique / Minnie rig this weekend and was really pleased. Just really rich, even, full tone. I received lot's of compliments on the sound and the esthetics of the setup. We were playing a weekend, multi site, art fair in Minneapolis. The gig was in an old casket factory turned studio space. Thanks Jule!

Thank you for sharing this. And for your kind words.

At the top of the page, on the opposite side of the screen from the page counter, you should see a little blue link that reads "watch thread". If you already clicked that try un watching and rewatching the thread. That's what I use. I'm using safari on an iPad and seem to get notifications for the few threads I follow.

FWIW I use the Demonique with a HD212 as my main rig. It kills. Never had any issue with volume and my guitar player uses a '67 Fender Super Reverb... cranked. Have been content with this rig for some time now.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to have to un-watch, and then re-watch "with e-mail notifications." It would be nice if there was a global setting for "send e-mail notifications when there are new posts in watched threads."
