Yes. Each Monique is a work of the hands - and a bit of heart.Just ordered one, don't even sure it'll improve my tone a lot, as all my rig is allready all-tubish (alessandro basset, effectrod pedals etc) but all that hype around monique... How long does it usually take to make one (i've heard mos are built from scratch each order)?
It is best to run the Balanced XLR into a headphone amplifier for headsets. Then you get to hear, experience what she can do.Thanks for replies! As my daughter was born a month ago, so no main-rig-sound for something like a year or two :_( Is it possible to use Monique for a headphones playing? (I wish I can call her Monique hehebut it's a bit strange name in Ukraine lol)
Perfect.Yes, IF you take the DI and send it to a mixer. You will find that Jule tried to keep the signal path as clean and uncluttered as possible. Thus, not a lot of "extras". But you will forget all of that after you plug in and start playing.
However, a small mixing board will work perfectly: Input for DI, input for mp3, headphone output. Boom, you are set!
Enjoy!!!
Thanks Brother.......
The Batwing makes everything sound greazy.......
I attribute much of the tone to the 49 year old string and the Mudbucker....
And of course our favorite girl Monique..

A few TBers are/were running an IP/Monique setup. Heard it once on a gig and it sounded great (Monique with the IP112/HT112).Just ordered a Monique Dove Cage. Can't wait to check it out. For several years I've been playing a Walter Woods stereo through a Bergantino HT112ER (sometimes with an EX112ER added) and have been very happy with it. But the Monique promises to be an entirely different animal. I'm also awaiting delivery of a Bergantino IP112ER that I'll sometimes be running with the HT112ER. This should be really interesting!

Thank you my friend. We are all in this together. As you, I am a tube fanatic ; I have an Alessandro Basset hound + Monique and Minnie 800D + eight pedals Effectrode on my pedalboard, of which the preamplifier Blackbird SR-71. I use the clean channel of Blackbird in Monique so that the bass are bigger and fatter like an all-tube amp - the active bass EQ is centered on 55Hz on Monique, while that of Blackblird is passive and close to 40Hz.
These two excellent preamplifiers work very well together for me, on condition of course not to settle the Blackbird output volume too strong.
All other pedals Effectrode - Compressor PC-2A, Fuzz Helios, Tube-Vibe, Tube Drive, Delta-Trem, Phase-O-Matic, Vibra-Chorus - also shines with Monique.
I shall never thank enough all these brilliant artisans fascinated by the tubes technology - as Jule Potter, George Alessandro, and Phil Taylor ( Effectrode) - who allow us to obtain magnificent and very very warm tone thanks to their masterpiece gears.
I would never have dared to dream I can play with so beautiful tone.... And nevertheless, they do it.
Groan... I'm having serious second thoughts about selling my Monique. I have been using the effects return on an Acoustic Image Clarus for a power amp. Any thoughts on whether that is a good idea to get the best from the Monique?
Done a small gig with a local artist last week, another chance to test drive my Monique because it is not an usual IEM gig! Using my Monique / Minnie 800D along with the Venue's Ampeg 410 speaker.
HUGE and CLEAR, this is what I can only tell, Monique just impressed me more and more in every gigs.
For those already got one, play the hell out of it! For who's not still, GET ONE from Jule!

This week I have meetings set up with Mechanical Engineers to determine who will get these hand drawn plans of mine finalized and converted to the SolidWorks format so that the enclosure can be built for the Combo Monique 700. It is happening.Folks,
I have decided to sell my rackmount Monique and I wanted to post in this thread before I list it in the TB Classifieds to give you guys first shot.
Why am I selling it? I also have a Dovecage Monique/Minnie that I prefer gigging and rehearsing with. Also, I am in line for one of Jule's soon to be released Monique Combo amps. It just isn't getting the love it deserves.
I would prefer to sell it with a 4U Gator case and Crest ProLite 2.0 power amp, but will consider splitting them up.
The Monique, Crest and Case are all like new and gigged 3 times over a 2 week period last summer. That's it. It has been in my basement studio since I bought it just over a year ago.
The Monique is the latest version with the push/pull knobs.
PM me if interested as I will be listing this in the Classifieds likely tomorrow.
Thx!
