p.s. It feels great knowing that no one in the world has the same ink as me![]()

Everytime I think about tattoos, even if it's only half serious, I imagine myself being ninety years old, all wrinkly and faded, and staring at a twisted indelible mark somewhere on my pale flaccid body that used to mean something about eight decades ago.
It'd have to be something pretty special.

That is funny!
Don't take your "ink" too seriously now. In my experience, I have seen, that *most* of those that sport "ink" have a deeper issue...kind of like trying to decorate a ratty looking christmas tree).
But hey, if this isn't you, or any one else here, there should be no need to get all nuts about it. Just my opinion, and that is all I have to say on the subject.
Feel free to carry on trading pics of your "ink."

Agreed. Getting a tattoo is just so...I don't know....conformist. Just b/c many people get them doesn't make them cool. In fact, the more people get them, the more they are uncool.
Somehow the imagery of an old timer at 65 bragging that he is "up to" 25 tattoos to his grand kids seems amusing to me.![]()

OH, I was 28 when I got my first one done - that took about 8 years of consideration!
And for the pain, it isn't that bad. It's stings a bit at the time - only really when the outlinme is being drawn. When the colouring is being done, it isn't sore at all. Once done it is like bad sunburn, but it subsides within a day or two!

And about the pain, in general, if one is worried about how much it hurts, one shouldn't be worried about getting one. Know what I mean?

NickelWound, so true bro! 9 out of 10 dudes that I have known with tatto's fit that assumption. just go down to the beach and see who has a tat.(Transplants from Ohio).everyone plus their pit bull has one these day. it's sickening..and they think it's reble looking too .. I find it kind of strange how some dudes/chicks will spend big bucks for tattoo's, but won't spend a dime to get their teeth fixed..a friend of mine calls these clones "The Mass Of The Great Unwashed"

Nope, never really safe to make assumptions. You still don't know anything about a specific person/group, yet suddenly feel able to hold forth on their motivations? Best to avoid it. You show bias by calling the tattoos an "epidemic". What is a "cholo" anyway?
