Hey man, at least I said "deserted". Most people list their "desert" island picks.I'd love to hear your plan for playing bass on a deserted island. Is it a Dharma Initiative type setup or something, where you have access to on-site power?

I'm with you. Besides my tuning pedal and the Mesa Subway Preamp, which is awesome, I really like the EHX Bass Soul Food!I have a difficult time taking my EHX Bass Soul Food and my [sfx] Micro Red Dragon off of it. I really like both (I'm in a small but growing minority of TBers who actually like the BSF)
Vintage phaserI’m thinking about adding a pedal to my sound and I’ve never had one. If you could only have one pedal which one would it be or what would you recommend as a first pedal?
Thanks for your input
My most recent add is the Darkglass Hyper Luminal Hybrid Compressor. I've gotten rid of everything else.I’m thinking about adding a pedal to my sound and I’ve never had one. If you could only have one pedal which one would it be or what would you recommend as a first pedal?

Overdrive. I use the darkglass microtubes x and dig it. But if I was limited to one pedal I might opt for one of its big brothers the x7 or x ultra just for a little more flexibility. It’s not really the most “fun” effect imo but it’s very usable. With my band I have my drive on more than any other pedal by far.I’m thinking about adding a pedal to my sound and I’ve never had one.
