Lakland version of Pino Palladinos Signature Fender P.

NICE!!!

did you buy that from Terry (Buffordbass)? that is a nice 4-94....not you huh? what "is" you?

Thanks!
It's actually a 44-02 Deluxe I traded my Fender Am. Deluxe Jazz V for.
I really want something with a maple fretboard, and probably passive. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome bass that I would probably only trade for another Lakland.

As of today, I have a fretless 55-02 on it's way to me. Nothing particularly special about it. Natural finish, lined ebony board and Lakland gizzards. This will be my fourth Lakland after a 55-02, 44-02 and DJ5. The DJ I no longer have, but I really liked it. The 44/55 series basses are just "it" for me. I've had these for a while now and not even a hint of dissatisfaction with them.

Quick question about the fretless. What are the lines made of? They standout pretty good in the pictures I've seen. I'm wondering if I could obscure them a bit with some oil or a light stain?

major congrats!!! EVERY Lakland is special!! I agree with the 44/55 series comment...I have 3 variants and am happy with each!

as for the lines.....I am not sure on the Skylines...maybe some form of plastic? they do stand out but not from a few paces away.....they disappear nicely at about the second or third row (from the stage).....leave them be...no reason to cover them....(IMHO!)

the US lines are hand sanded birds eye maple...hand done by Carl......

You'll LOVE the mwah factor....if it does not cry enough for you send it in and have Carl set it up...he recently re-did mine and oh my.......
