Made good on my promise (that I made to myself ) and gigged my 44-02 this weekend. Forgot how freakin EFFORTLESS it feels to play that bass. Makes my, as my drummer puts it, "mind-blowing" fills so much easier

Also can I get a hell yeah for wicked bass solos?

I've been fighting myself not to buy it at the $449 price... at $399, well shoot. If you are considering one at all, that would be the one to get. Never have to worry about getting your investment back.

congrats!!! I think it will shimmer like a pot 'o' gold!!!! congrats!!!

would love to see it (sooner rather than later!).....now you just need some abalone blocks in your (soon to have) maple neck and you will have an unofficial copy of the dunebuggy!

Yep, but can't give away ALL the details until I have it back together. It's going to be a LONG week waiting for it to get here.

Eeeeenteresting, how much would one of these run, roughly? I can't remember from the last time it was in talks....

Talking about making that LOG P5 unique, how about a P, and a Chi at the bridge position?

Maybe BUT the pickup covers would be VERY different and would not look good together (IMHO)...the CHI has a chrome surround.....

Yeah, I WISH I could do the blocks.... I guess it's more of a "tribute" than a replica to AC's dunebuggy. I might be bringing it and the BG5 in a couple weeks for setups (any chance you can PM me Carl's email addy?).

No, couldn't quite justify it, PLUS I'm really thinking I want to go to a Maple board (I have a RW one now).

I think the rosewood is the ticket

I've thought of that already. P chrome pickup cover hides the less attractive pickup
