"B-stock" are basses that have (maybe?) some damage of some sort...usually VERY minute....Leo has shown me some with a minor crack in the finish...I had to look REALLY hard to find it.....they usually sell these at some form of discount.....

I think they sound old school angry. But they do have a broader frequency range with isn't too old school. Hard to explain. For instance...in a J, it becomes a J with killing tone. Smoother top, but angrier mids, and heavier lows.

Also, I forgot to mention that part of the reason that I went with an Ebony fretboard is because the bass has a Mahogany body with a Maple top. The mahogany is hard to see in those photos. So the overall combination doesn't come off as too harsh. Maybe with an Ash body, Ebony might be too much, but on my bass, it's perfect.

Yep, I see. But I was mainly wondering why they don't make the appearance of the P with the Chi technology match the other Chi-Sonics, as I reckon that would be a hit.
Is it wrong to say that a Chi single, Chi humbucker, and a Split Chi P style would all sound different?
I hope I'm not just repeating myself, lol.

GOT IT! yes...they all sound very different......but looking like might be nice.....the chrome is a nice touch.....Dan was going to eliminate the chrome and go all black but I guess he changed his mind because the only un-stealth (i.e. not hidden under another cover) have chrome surrounds...glad they do...they add JUST the right amount of bling....

I guess....but I have only gone "all fretless" a couple of times....I think it fits some songs better than others...hence 1 fretted and 1 fretless is a good mix for me....
