Do you have your own mix fed through a foldback wedge or in ear moniters?

Luke.

well....SORT of.....we have 4 monitor channels (a mix of floor wedges and "hot spots" which are stand mounted and rather small (read no bass response))

The drummer and I share a channel (each with our own wedge though) so we can get "sort of" what we want.....just enough of the guitarist, piano and singers to know where we are and then mostly us.....:D (well...sometimes it works out that way!)

PS - are you trying to outpost Markus and ME????? huh????? keep it up....you are doing a good job!:);)

What are duds?

Luke.

new "clothes" so to speak.....usually "cool" clothes...he has it in a very unique gold sparkle finish that is very similar to a bass Adam Clayton ordered from Lakland early last year (and which was one of the nicest playing J basses I every touched!!!)

PS - nice to have the "night crew" keeping up the posts while we in the "other hemisphere" sleep...sorry it is so lonely then....

+1 The MM style pick guard really sets it off IMO, possibly more so than the standard Lakland pickguard.

Luke.

I agree...and I agree with your previous comment about the Lakie burst having a little more yellow...I like it just a little better...

someday I will get a 55-94 or 55-02 with a MM style pickguard...someday....on my "short" list of about 10+ Lakies I desperately need "right now"....unfortnately, the list keeps getting longer and the pocket book lighter!!!

My #6 JO5 had the neck shaved down to roughly DJ5 specs by Michael Tobias. The previous owner knew Dan and is still a close bud of Tobias... unbelievable work by 2 masters!

yummy banana cream......that was such a cool color JJ.....sorry it had to go....but it made room (eventually) for SC.......

as for modding SC.....it was "modded 100%" from the beginning!!!!

I just got a 55-02 Deluxe model with a clear pickguard. Price was astoundingly low and I'm in love. This is my first Lakland and it wont be my last.

I'm a believer!!!:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

congrats!!!! who did you buy that from - is it phatbasterds old one? if it is, it is the "first amber"....a natural in reality but with alot of amber overtones......

the 44-02/55-02 is one of the best intros to Lakland that there is....variety, quality, sound all their own (and the ability to mimick other bass sounds)....

welcome to our addiction!!!

peace:

Doug

That is weak....a jeeper that got stuck in a driveway and you do not talk about it??? The only way you should be able to get away with that is it was your wife. If it is another guy....all is fair game!

yeh - well how about the time I got my minivan caught in a ditch backing out of a friend's driveway....was about midnight after the superbowl last year....just got the van a week or two earlier....that night it snowed like 6-8 inches....cut too wide trying to avoid another car parked in his driveway and got caght in a "hidden" (well - snow covered) ditch....only 1 wheel had ANY traction and the more I tried to "rock it" the deeper it went and the more it tipped....my wife got so worried that she got out of the car with the kids (we were tipping towards the passenger side).....we tried for about a hlaf hour and then had to call AAA.....oh well....no jeep story but funny/dumb all the same.....

sorry - Lakie CHI - yeh!!!!

2 full racks?!?!? That means a list needs to be posted on the LOG!!!!!!!!!!
Pictures and prices please, we'll see how quickly we can clear that baby out!!!!!!

call Leo and buy them all Terry...then you can have a bass'o'the'day and sell one a day for the next month or so....

imagine playing a different bass EVERY day for a month....ooops...sorry Terry - you do that already.....sorry man!

well, i know Dan knows more about it than me...lol. Here is a crazy idea....if the finish is an issue, why not work a special deal where they will do a run of 30...UNFINISHED, and then maybe work out some kind of special pricing with someone (like Pat Wilkins) to do finishing for the people who buy them. It may raise the price to the end user slightly, but it would then be a truly custom BG5. I am just really wanting a BG5 right now...lol

not a bad idea....one concern is that the production is done overseas and it takes a few (more than 2-3) basses that tend to get "ruined" getting the basses "just so" before Dan can approve production...there are costs for the CNC programming and engineering, the new hole configurations for the bridge etc.

also...the shipping costs of sending the prototypes back and forth...and as Randy says - 30 seems to be a tough number to crack...regardless of the color....

a BG5 SKyline LOG bass WILL get done.....after the economy bounces back some.....
