LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #28

Came upstairs - logged on, read the last few posts - had to go make a Drink. Rum sounded good all I had in the cabinet was Jim Beam - Jim Beam and Cream Soda < would make a nice finish color - soon I will be slurrring my typing.... :D

Back to your regularly scheduled Lakland thread.... ;)

Got a question for all of you very knowledgeable Lakland owners. In looking at the specs on the Lakland website for the 55-02, the neck width at the last fret reads 3.3 in, which correlates to 84 mm. That is a surfboard in relative terms for a 5 string. I seem to remember looking at the specs earlier this year when they read 2.9 in, which correlates to a much more manageable 74 mm. Is the 3.3 an accurate measurement? If so, I'll have to look for a used 55-02. Thanks.

I have a 5501 (I believe the necks are the same) and just a quick eyeball with a small ruler looks just under 3 at the last fret. This Bass is a 2005 and of course I could be wrong.

The specs haven't changed on the site....I know that for sure:D Now..they could be wrong, but they've been wrong since before I designed the site.

I have stacked-knob controls. Thus far (I haven't had it long), I've backed the tone knob for the bridge pickup down by half consistently while running everything else full, but sometimes favor the neck pickup. I'm trying to make it sound like a growlier P bass.;)
