I think I'll leave her as is... character, you know!!!
I'm diggin' the black!
Um, so I just got a little freaked out by a gig I have on Friday.
Now, I'm not normally superstitious, but the show is on Friday the 13th. And if that wasn't enough, it's at a summer camp...
Does this situation sound familiar to anyone else???

i love it ferg, nice choice!! it's not like it's a 62 f#$%^#It still is 5J #01...it's just not 3TB anymore..
I figured if I threw out to the Forums that I was having it re-finished I would be told it was Blasphemy and I didn't want to hear it. Ive wanted to do this for a while.
It's never going to be for sale and it's already paid for itself 10 times over...so I took the plunge and had it redone I love how it looks and it still sounds phenomenal.
To me personally and I know not everyone agrees the value of any Bass is primarily in the neck. I would NEVER mess with the neck on this one.
All in all Im happy with my decision now for a PG choice!!!!![]()

Wow - we agree on a finish and a PG....you RW board lovin' chrome HW lovin' ninjaer ;-)
"Pile of boom", nice! Now that I'm used to it, I know what I'm looking for, and love it solo as well. In the past, I was a strictly active guy, and it almost seemed the opposite- sounded GREAT soloed, but then disappeared into a pile of boom in a mix.
Hooterville, my old stomping grounds! I never made it to the camp, but I heard it was for upper-crust kids--just the kind a monster would want to come after.Haha no, Camp Wayfarer in Hendersonville NC... But still, a little creepy! They HAD to have scheduled it like this on purpose.

It's a fairly hoppin' bar on the right night, and it's run by a good friend of mine. If you talk to him (his name is Matt, he's really tall)), tell'im Greg sent you.
Great choice, J!Had to cure my P GAS somehow, and was too late to get Terry's DSed one. So.... considering my love for Fralin's J pups, I figured I'd like their Ps as well. And, I'm also not too fond of the wide-nutted P necks. So, I went with this one
.

I'll tune her a step down or BEAD, dunno yet.
This'll be my first "real" P bass in 20 years of playing. And, I've NEVER used one in a band setting, just tinkered at home on a Squier and a crappy Kay copy. I've always said that "I'm not a P bass guy". Well, it's time to see what all the hubbub has been about for the last half decade or so.
Sorry you missed out on my old DS'd Glaub, but I'm sure you'll dig this one--Lakland's CAR is beautiful, and the Fralins rock. Also, John/The Crusader is a really good guy, I've spent some time with him at the two International GTGs he's organized. Good taste in instruments, and he seems to take very good care of them. Looking forward to your review.Very cool, Ferg, I'm digging it! Where did you get it refinished? It's probably the lighting, but it looks "warmer" than mine.It still is 5J #01...it's just not 3TB anymore..

Played a couple of gigs this weekend with the cover band.... all the girls love Radioactive oatmeal, all the musicians love the sound of the BG5. I KNEW I should've done the Glaub in metal flakej/k
