Yeah! I submitted a track for the LOG CD, but I'm hoping this other one gets finished in time to replace it. MUCH groovier bassline, plus it will be a representation of the BG5 on the recording

Tough choice. I really like both a lot (though I favor the DS)--give the Fralin a fair shot before buying the DS, which is of course going to require cutting into the bass. Just my two cents.Question: should I give the Dunn w/ it's Fralin pup a thorough try (for me that's a few months at least) or just go ahead and get on the waiting list for a new Darkstar pup and black Jeannies pickguard?? Maybe pearl to match the blocks, hmm....
Sounds very cool, Randy--looking forward to hearing it!Yeah! I submitted a track for the LOG CD, but I'm hoping this other one gets finished in time to replace it. MUCH groovier bassline, plus it will be a representation of the BG5 on the recording![]()

It is kind of funny how the Chis look smooth and the DS raw, but their tonal qualities are somewhat reversed.
"Let's get it on!!!"
Not sure my MMA skills will help me in a "PM battle" though..... BLAST!!
did not know you sang...
VERY LOW overhead......very low....
BTW - has the soul patch EVER beeen gone?
i heard flats on Doug's fretless 55-94 and it sounded awesome... apparently, he did not think so.
Never underestimate the resourcefulness of a JEDI.
I'm also glad!!! Hoping to git 'er sooner! But with my best guess, she would make an awesome xmas present for me
NOT that you would trade for one like mine?!![]()

That's the whole crew ( I think) of a death metal band I was playing in circa 1995, including a female flute player, two vocalists, a road technician (yes we had one!) and on and on...

Yeah, I'm still kicking my @55 for not snagging Markus' DPLEII a few months back, he's kicking his own @55 for selling it too.
Yeah, as I said in an earlier post... I loved the Fralin jazz pups in my JO5 (now gone), but those are J pups. I also love my 4-76 w/ a single DS in the MM position.
So...... any more opinions/input?? Patience is obviously NOT a strength of mine.
I wouldn't do it unless you are absolutely unhappy with the Fralin. IMHO, a P bass doesn't look quite right with anything other than a spit coil, and there's gobs of recorded proof that they sound fantastic.Question: should I give the Dunn w/ it's Fralin pup a thorough try (for me that's a few months at least) or just go ahead and get on the waiting list for a new Darkstar pup and black Jeannies pickguard?? Yeah, gotta hit the hay in a min. Let's not do the Walton's thing... "goodnight Markus, goodnight Doug...." PLEASE!
