LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #31

Having owned up to 7 basses at any given time in the last year and a half, I recently sold and shipped my last non-Lakland bass. So now I have 3 Lakies (JO5CS, DJ5CS and 55-0P) and an electric upright. No other brands.

I didn't do it consciously or deliberately, but I don't keep what I don't play. Nothing else feels close to the Lakies, so after a day or so, those basses would just sit. And sit.

I could have had a US Lakland built with what I've spent on shipping charges to figure this out.

What's the 55-0P?

Since the LOG is down, I will spout off here....I was playing my latest aquisition again tonight and cannot be more impressed...I love it more and more each time I play it!

I guess I love PJs.....this thing can get so many different vibes with just a few changes of the knobs....want growl? got it...want thump? got it....want grind? yup...there as well....

all it takes is a few twists of the knobs and moving to a different plucking position (I need to experiment more with my right hand position while playing).....

EVERYTHING ELSE IS FOR SALE......THE BGPJ5 IS ALL I NEED!!!

I DO love the BGPJ5 but I will not be selling any basses soon....well....UNLESS a "no can pass up" deal or bass comes along that is.....

Any of you guys know the exact serial number cutoff for when they started plek'ing the Skyline basses? I'd heard it started around September of 2008, but I don't know how that correlates to the serial numbers. Thanks.

Markus do you know why there doesn't seem to be a coil tap on that hollowbody that Blender is playing earlier in the thread? Is that only on the US ones?

I believe it's a push-pull on the tone knob.
