Welp, the Ibanez is sold. I'm gonna miss it. Haha but I'm sure once I finally get an HB the pain will ease just a tad ;)

Funds are about half-way!

that was fast (good!!!!)......half way to go:

yes, this should be the 55 Double J CS.
Also, each one of the three is unique - Midas has a rosewood fretboard, Nessie (still in transit between US and Russia) is ebony fretless, this one has a nice maple neck, not to mention the colors.

Midas is unique in that it is bound and blocked.
The are all unique in their own soecial way :D:D

I suspect this is what Dan is leading to [inter alia]. Looks like there's more promo for the CS lately than there was for the LH3. I mean, the lettar are great (and I haven't personally tried the first ones yet), but there's something behind that... something like former making the LH3 pickups default for all kinds of basses (which also lessened the gap between the JO and DJ as some tell, made the BG sound differently etc.).

As they say, I may be paranoid but that doesn't mean I am not being followed...

you will be trying the CSs VERY soon.....and you vill love it....or else!!!

Guess I now qualify for admission to this esteemed group: I just scored this Skyline 55-02 Deluxe the other night.

PS - not QUITE sure about your "political statement" though.....:(

Best impromptu eulogy ever:
"Ease our suffering in this,
our moment of great despair!
Admit this good and decent woman
into Thine arms and the flock...
..in Thine heavenly area up there.
And Moab he laideth down
behind the land of the Canaanites.
And, yea, though the Hindus speak of karma...
I implore you, give her a break."

Classic stuff!

We still call our minivan The Family Truckster.

Um, I mean the minivan my neighbors have. The one that blocks the view of my Ferrari. Ferraris.

In fact i have several Ferraris. Yeah, that's the ticket!

LOL and LOL some more.....

yeh - like my minivan is MILES away.......

Thanks for the info. I've seen pictures of that amber finish. That would've been my first choice if it were still available. I play everything from prog to folk. That's why I was looking at the 44-02 and its wide range of tones. I also have an acoustic fretless that I use for bluegrass.

Then the -02 if for you.......acoustic fretless???? tell me more.....I got bit by the "Rick Turner bug" about a month ago.....REALLY want one now....just no cashola!

sorry to derail.......here:
