Right. And the passive variant is the 55 Dual J.

**cough cough** "Luke, you wanna hit this, man? Yoda grows some good sh!+!"
yeah, to make it even easier, I've also seen a 55-76 and a 55-63 in LPB. Am I being helpful?![]()
I'm leaning that way, after all would it really sound like a P w/ a single coil pup. Sure, it'd be close, but still different ya know? Plus, I will have an excuse to shop for a DSed Glaub later on, maybe a Dudepit.
I'd say that's a yes.
Also, were 55-63's and 55-76's ever available as Skylines? If not, then it's not really surprising about seeing them in LPB
Yeah that's what I thought, which IMO does not make a 55-76 or 55-63 in LPB anymore special than one in 3TSB or Burgundy Mist. I hope that makes sense
Also since perhaps finding the elusive LPB 44-01 might be a problem.....Dan has said that there would be potentially special run Skyline colors every year or so but it has never really came about. Last time when he was asked about it he said he wanted to do a special run on the 44-02 and 55-02 line. Since the DJ is gone no Skyline is offered in LPB and it should be easier to get that color because it is something they have done before. It seems like it would be an easy sell. We could all vote for LPB and help make dreams come true.
Good choice. Also, I like these Decade knobs better then the other ones that were on it
I really really would like to see a translucent LPB...
OK...Stock knobs are back on the Hollowbody.
I think I do like them the best. I did find some cool ones for the Decade though! I think they totally fit the style of the bass:

I think that might be a hard sell. Any color that is very different
or hasn't been done in a Skyline I think would be tough. It seems like LPB would be a really easy sell. It is a color they have available and that is not currently used on any model.
yup.....what I was thinking!!! congrats Greg!!!! double your fun!!!!
cannot wait to play it!!!
they NEED to make those with thumb rests!!!!

I seem to remember someone posting a photo of a Lakland in the process of being built that looked like a single coil Precision.
Can someone post that again?
so are ALL bassplayers (including me) Star Wars geeks too????
Yeah, good call Steve-dave!
