She started out as a 55-01. I put in an LH-3 setup maybe a year ago... year and a half maybe?
Carl put the 2nd 'bucker in there and the ramp. Be we are not done. Tomorrow the cool thing gets built and put on.
Then after my next tour, he'll shave the neck and put in a Roland MIDI pickup.
Carl is the shizzle.
EDIT: Yes you see 3 switches. 2 are for the 'buckers. One switches in the Bartolini buffer. and that switch is also a mute.

Been hanging out with the christian praise and worship bassists, and some guy called Basspraiser
told me I should check out the lakland owners group. Have done so, I liked what I saw (who couldn't?) and am now a member.
Can I have a number please, whoever's in charge (Dan Lakin, maybe, who knows, it could happen one day...
)
BTW, I'm staggered by the collections some of you guys have. I'm on one standard Lakland bass - a Lake Placid Blue Darryl Jones Skyline 4-string.
But I've worked it out, and one day I shall own 6 Laklands:
Lake Placid Blue Skyline Darryl Jones 4-string
Lake Placid Blue USA 44-60 with stacked knobs and flats (Herbie Flowers tribute)
Fiesta Red USA 44-64 (Pino Palladino tribute)
Markus Orange Skyline 55-94
Blue Burst USA 55-07 fretless
Tobacco Burst USA Jerry Scheff with brown tort guard.
I reckon that'd do just about anything. Especially since as far as I can tell, the Skyline DJ already does the lot! What's that I hear? a distant cry of "The tone's in your fingers!"

So, I'm waiting on UPS to drop me off a new 55-02 to replace Amber North.
I'll be glad to be rid of Amber N, to be honest. She's pretty, but she didn't work right when she got here, and though I didn't want to say anything in public, I've been angry at Lakland for a long time. They're making it better for me by acting on a promise that Dan made about a year ago, then forgot about.
I'll probably never get into Lakland religion. But depending on what I find when I open the box up, I may put my Fender P in the corner for the first time since I bought it, and may start telling people about Lakland again.

Jesse, sorry you've had such a bad experience. You've been more patient than I would've been. I hope and expect, though, that the new 55-02 will finally put things right.

something I'd go for in the early days... until I came across the 55-94, that is. Still, that is cool!
FYI, there were a few thoughts on switchable HH bass... John said they MIGHT see the light sometime...
I pick my baby up later today. After my next tour, Im having Carl make that neck paper thin! And the Roland GK-3B midi pup.

Haha true... I'm also curious as to how they got around the seam issue. I thought trans colors were out for the skyline hollowbodies.
