Markus that gold Decade is SICK!!

I'll post some pics of my new Skyline 44-60 in the next day or so when I can get a contributing membership :)

make sure to post some at: Link Removed as well!

Simply killer, my man. Amazing!

Also, I love how your last three have all been P basses. Resistance is futile!:D

yup...and purty ones at that!

love all of them....even if they are 4 bangers! I kinda wish there was a DS-5.....Ferg keeps trying to get me to lose a string...(unsuccesfully that is!)

I do have them on Photobucket, but I'd rather wait to post pics in this thread to ensure I get a number:hyper:

PM me for a number...pics can come later!

Okeydoke. Also, check out Link Removed for more info and discussion when you get a chance!

ahah! been a while since the time machine struck ole' 'praiser!

I think I wrote that in the Your-First-Lakie-Love post in the LOG site forum. The accent was rather on the japanese guy I bought if from though. I actually came to his house to take a look at his collection of basses with no intention OR money to buy. I was so much in love with the Shoreline 4-94 that I couldn't leave without it. Sent him the money a few days after, when I came back home and got the insurance. He gave me a good discount too!

As to your wife, she's let you have SO MANY already you can't really blame her :D

oh yeh! that's right...I am getting old timers disease....but only on occasion....but those occasions are getting more frequent!

I know...I know....she puts up with alot!

Camera trick Eublet... pearl is the only white I've heard of for the Sky DJs. But the tort still looks hot on 'em.

yup - only pearl...and what a color! I agree on the tort though...noyce!

Seriously, if you buy one more Lakkie, I'm going to get into my black helicopter...

come on down ......we need a visit from you....especially considering I no lnger have "Amber".... :(

Here's one I had a couple of years ago; not Tort but a kind of black cherry pearl. I thought it looked great, and way better than the stock white one it came with.

nice one Tom!!!

I played this one when Tom still had it, it was sweet.

I can't believe I'm the first person to comment on that sweet mo!

Nice bass and nice lip-fringe :p
Tom's is a 'stache to be reckoned with!:D

Just picked up a lakland skyline hollowbody with darkstars and the sound is awesome. I was wondering if anyone ever experimented with rotating the neck pickup so that the polepieces are toward the bridge rather than the neck. I think the bridge and blended sound are amazing but the neck is a little tubby given its position tight against the board.
Also has anyone replaced the volume pots on their skyline and if so suggestion, mine go from on to totally off in a 1/4 turn. Not much blending available

Awesome! Is it the gold one from the classifieds?

Hmmm. Inetersting. Haven't tried it, but if you want to send me the bass, I'll test it for a few years then get it right back to you... :D

A Darkstarred HB is tops on my list of basses-that-I-actually-have-a-realistic-shot-of-owning-some-day.

First of all, big congratulations! I scored one of these rare beasts (in CAR) last winter. As you say, they sound fantastic.

It's actually a fairly common practice to rotate Dark Stars around, and it definitely does have an effect on tone. I haven't done it myself, but I had a Glaub where it faced one way and now have another where it faces the opposite way--there's a distinct difference there. I think all DS'd Laklands are done with the "swimming pool" route that allows the rotation. I guess with the HB, it's possible they're not given the semi-hollow body. Contact Lakland for tips.

Greg. Love the new avatar.....Kick-ass
Thanks, John!

My girlfriend and I were doing the SouthPark yourself deal, and I did a really bad job on mine. Fortunately, she then did a much better one of me. And she changed the color of the bass in Paint to match my Skyline Decade. She's a good one.;)
