Hi Lakland owners...I just picked up a 55-94 back in March and was wondering if there was an adjustment inside the cavity to equalize the volume between active and passive modes...

I'm 99% sure this wasn't geared toward you but saying it's sad that Lakland themselves aren't offering this Nino.

Sad? That's kinda harsh...![]()
It's kinda sad that someone else has to make the 34" Lakland 5 string...

I'm also completely sure that's what Gus (Grateful) meant rather than it being a shot at you. Much respect here, Nino.I'm 99% sure this wasn't geared toward you but saying it's sad that Lakland themselves aren't offering this Nino.
Yup, made them ourselvesAnd, being the rockstars we are, we smashed 'em to tiny bits when we were done

Bwahaha! I'd been wondering if you guys had just put a cardboard layer over your instros, or they were full-on cardboard instruments.
I guess they were full-on cardboard, then![]()
Wow. I'd have gone for the RW one as well. Too bad you missed out on that one.
played my new 44-64 custom last night. i have to say, this is the best sounding p bass i have ever heard, or played. it has the neo punch p/u in it. it is very punchy. thank you lakland!!
Grumble grumble 'custom' grumble...
Welcome, Tat! Now you're low, loud, Lakland, and proud.![]()
It's a great group of folks here in Lakland land...there are fewer spoons, though.![]()
Thinking about putting the gold sparkle pick gaurd on.
Sorry for the crappy pics.
Yours is beautiful. I tried a Lakland 5 - I couldn't reach the B string once I got above the 5th fret.
The guys at BC told me that amber has been DC'd as a color option on the Skyline series, too, so I think they'll be even more special now. Mine says this on the back of the headstock:
"Designed in Chicago, USA. Crafted in Korea."
It was accompanied by a hangtag that says Plek'd in Chicago.
Anyway it goes, this little baby is a stunner. I can't put it down - the sound just begs you to keep playing.
No, we're talking about the same area. I play what would be an open E on fret 5 of the B string and take it from there. I almost never go down past the 5th fret, but play most of my stuf in the middle of the fretboard.

Yes it does...thanks MarkusBass
Can you keep it plugged into an amp while doing this or is there a risk of shorting something?
I "MOSTLY" play where you do J.....once in a while I DO go to a low D for effect...hardly ever the Low C...also - depending on the song, I MAY go down to the F on the E string...it sounds "slightly different" to me....a little more grindy...
OK. Cool. I could of swore I read somewhere that Lakland was offering 34" scale length so I though the comment was meant for me.Shoot. I just saw this.
Nino, in no way whatsoever was this directed as anything negative towards you. You make killer basses and I think it's great that you are offering 34" 5 strings with the LH-3 guts.

That's possible. I have a tendinitis issue, myself. plus I broke my hand in two places in a comical, yet epic, mountain biking fail.
Heh, I guess neither of us are a fretboard designer's dream customer, eh?
Okay - I wanna hear about this epic mountain biking fail. No fair being a tease about it.
I've never harbored any illusions that I'm anyone's dream, but somewhere, someday, someone will be up for the challenge. I wonder how that Torzal neck is to play? Have you seen that one?
I wanted a Torzal for quite a while, but I could never get close to one to try out. And since they cost quite a bit and look like they'd be... different to play, there was no way I was saving up for one without trying it.
I'd still like to sit down with one someday.
