Superb score, Ian! I believe I've seen that one before. Love the top, but I hadn't seen the RW up close before--yow!

Just scooped a 2005 US Hollowbody. So pumped!

Had a 55-02 just like that years ago, might still have it if I could still play 35" scale basses.

Sig'd

the question is, do you have matching stained glass

I like the combo. It happened somehow that I never had a DLX, - have had two classics, two standards, and now a butterscotch is coming. I got three of my pals DLXs, including one fairly rare 4-94 with flame maple, but never had one of my own, sigh. I wouldn't protest against having one like this

:hyper::cool::D

wahoo Denis!!!!

so...how long "on the brown boat" before it gets to you????

I REALLY think you will LOVE it...played mine today and fell in love with it again.....GREAT sounding bass...can get mellow or grindy with a tweak of the tone knob and a little different finger styles...

from what he said the package will be ready in 4 days now. I may or may not have something else from Bo, so that depends. From that point on, it usually takes three weeks or so
Please remind me what pickups you have, the Neos?

He's got the Neo Hanson in his sunburst US PJ and the vintage Hanson P pickup in his LOG bass. Told me this afternoon he's totally digging the vintage right now.

Gifted, and also understanding of my music hobby. She's classic (25+ years on clarinet, now studying cello), and has me 1-0 on ensemble gigs at Carnegie Hall. :)

you, sir, are an achiever then, and one's wive's achievements equal to his own, do they not ;)
As for the "no pics..." comment, JohnDough247 "sig'd" it, and I have no clue what it means!
I would presume it means 'entertaining enough to be added to one's signature', the hidden connotation being that there is a common rule that 'no bass legitimately exists unless its existance is proven by photos posted on TalkBass'...

... but I wouldn't bet on it! :D

P.S.
Thanks. She has many talents. I get to do the technical drawing, but it's always her vision. (Invalid Link Removed)
oh man...! That's so impressive. I personally like the white pearl oval with a flower design and another one with blue and yellow stripes, but the rest are great as well
A very nice - looking woman too.

oh, he's got all of the best in his herd... that's cool, I hope every one gets her playing, they deserve it oh so much.
my (former John's) LOG bass also has a Hanson Vintage. I was thinking if I should change it for a Neo P but then decided to leave it where it is. I think I'll be having enough clarity available from the bridge J and from the LH pre pedal

Guys, can you please instruct me what money order is? Also, what way do you usually pay Lakland or Carl, and what is the best way to do?
IME, they didn't accept PayPal so I used wire transfer last time and they drew from my card in the three cases before that

Now, a question. I very very much hope it never happens but... wouldn't such grain be oversensitive to fretboard warp?

Man - I hope not! But right, with that grain pattern, warpage would conventionally be a concern. I guess the fact that it's mated to graphite reinforcement and a big piece of quartersawn maple eases my mind.

And you know - it's just a bass - if the board moves, I'll just have it worked on. :p

This is a truly wonderful instrument. Family portrait to come . . .

Money order (wikipedia)

I think the essential part is that it's guaranteed that the funds are available to back the payment, unlike a personal cheque.

Andy
Thanks, Andy.
I know will look stupid but I read that already but couldn't make out the difference from wire transfer, I mean, on my side as the payer. The thing is, the article has different definitions in Russian and English. What we apply the russian term for, I've never heard of it used other than between legal entities, not person (s).

Spent a few hours with the new bass yesterday. Overall, I love it. One question about the LH3: The high boost/cut seems very subtle, much more so than what I hear on my Ibanez SR600 (Barts). Am I right on that? I like it, it just took a little attention to her what it was doing. Haven't cracked the case yet to tweak the mid-boost freq. That's next weekend...

Correct on all counts! :smug:
