Cool! Looking forward to checking em out. Someone on the lakland fb fan page tried em on the same year and model of my bass and reported positive things so I'm pretty psyched.

I had ground wound strings (Ken Smith compression wound) and liked them for a long time. But when they finally died the sound became a little flat for my tastes. Dead round > dead ground IMO...

he he...I agree...have not tried ground wounds since....maybe the 90s?

The outpouring of people PMing...and for once everyone wanted to buy it ...no trades.

I should have did a SOLD to the highest bidder thing...hahaha!! Maybe I priced it too low?
I just wanted to get back what I had into it after ppal fees and shipping was covered.
So I passed it on at a good price. Rather then being greedy. Good kharma?

But it sold in under 3 hours. yikes!! Wish I had 5 more...I have 5 more people wanting to buy it still.

Hey I look at this bass stuff like one comes one goes, ya miss some ya do not miss others...life carries on and all is cool.

Thanks! I think so. Still new to lakland and also the higher end of bass quality. This is my first "botique" bass. Ive been playing for almost 20 years but this thing is an eye opener.

So I go to a music store over lunch, I had to get out of the office. I pick up a few basses to try, Warwick, Fender, Spector, and an "F" Bass. None of them come close to the feel or tone of my Laklands. This is not the first time that I have touched another brand since buying my Lakies. Yes, I am a blasphemer. Here is the funny thing. Since buying my Laklands almost 6 months ago, I have wanted and desired to play more. I have never had a bass that made me want rearrange my schedule so that I can practice...It's a magical thing.

Pretty hard to find an F Bass that doesn't feel like picking up a piece of pure magic. If i could bet past the looks, i might have pit an F in my bucket list.

Maybe the setups weren't spot on?

It was a true "F" Bass. The sound was nice, but the ergonomics and shape was horrible. I'm just very critical of the basses that I play.
