Doug's notorious for switching letters: the becomes teh, and ROFL becomes ROLF

Mike Lull makes a T-Bird that, by all accounts, is exquisite.
Tat2dHeart said:I have seen, touched, and played the Lull T-Bird and exquisite barely scrapes the surface. On my Christmas visit to Bass Club, they had one in that had been custom ordered for someone who was in to pick it up that day. I have no idea who he was, but he could play - and spent the afternoon with FM and I hanging out, playing, talking and taking pictures.

Ahhh...."Lull" does start with an L but this is the LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP........stay on target.......maybe?
He he
Great timing, I'm envious! I've been to Bass Club a bunch of times, but never laid hands on a Lullbird. The clips on his site sound great.I have seen, touched, and played the Lull T-Bird and exquisite barely scrapes the surface. Yup....just call it "fast finger dyslexia"? I know what I "mean" but my fingers don't always cooperate.....

This happens to me all the time. When I go to GC, there's rarely anything I'm curious enough to even bother picking up. Bass Club has all kinds of cool stuff, but even there I've yet to find anything that made me want to buy it. Well, maybe that $6K Ritter, but that's out of my league. So I go to a music store over lunch, I had to get out of the office. I pick up a few basses to try, Warwick, Fender, Spector, and an "F" Bass. None of them come close to the feel or tone of my Laklands. This is not the first time that I have touched another brand since buying my Lakies. Yes, I am a blasphemer. Here is the funny thing. Since buying my Laklands almost 6 months ago, I have wanted and desired to play more. I have never had a bass that made me want rearrange my schedule so that I can practice...It's a magical thing.
I knew you'd dig it! Best of luck on the tour, Branden. Damn, no Chicago stops this time.My new Glaub CS arrived. The pickup is single coil and sounds super growly vs. the punchy Pbass sound. I put some medium Fender flats on it, which sound perfect with the pickup. Taking this out on tour tomorrow.

Congrats, Woody! Welcome! So I walked in to Premier Bass here in Colorado today just to look around and play a couple of basses. They have an Inca silver Skyline Duck Dunn, and I've never liked that particular color. I''ve also yet to bond with a P-bass, and tend to prefer active basses, so I was a little skeptical. I've always wondered about the Duck Dunn model, though, so I gave it a try. Long story short, Dan is ordering me one in CAR.![]()

One day, I may see if I can get Carl to build me something similar.

WoodyG3 said:LOL. If I were looking for something less common than a Jazz or P, I'd be looking at a LAKLAND Decade, anyway...
