Maybe the eBay listing is stale and not closed?
That bass used to be mine. It was listed here for $2,200, an absolute steal. The current owner, a great guy, told me he had agreed on a trade with a TBer in Alaska, but this other person called it off at the very last minute. Very disappointing. He even created another sale thread but probably deleted it after posting it on eBay. So, it is still up for grabs. I can't buy it back, unfortunately.
I feel pretty much the same way about black bridges (although your new Sadowsky is hot)--a classic "to each his own" deal.I generally find that the look of the chrome Chi pup covers to be kinda crass, but on some basses the look really works.
I like them on most. I like having the pickup standout...like the heart of the bass.

I agree on the Black/Chrome metal looks - A+ in my book.
When considering the looks of the ChiSonics, the original Metal Black/Chrome and latest Drop-In ChiSonics looks more appealing than this:

Speechless. Just maybe it would look better if the PG covered the mounting tabs...

I'm generally a fan of chrome, though.

This was an idea that new Lakland ownership had to reduce the cost of the Decade since the cost to manufacture the ChiSonic Chrome Covers was/is quite expensive. As an optional upgrade, they would still offer the Chrome Covers. The concept was not well received by the masses here or at the LOG and I believe the Chrome style was retained - Though some were produced, this is likely one of them.
Original prototype of Lakland back at the drawing board of the Lakland Decade model? Not hardly...
Original concept of new ownership for helping reducing the cost of this model bass? You bet!
Yeah, the decade is one of the axes that make those pups totally shine. The 07s are okay as well.
