Well heck, I better show off my other Lakland, 55-01 Deluxe. I bought this a few months ago, and it is also incredible. All this bass did was make me realize the following:

1.) Bass is awesome
2.)Laklands are top-notch instruments
3.) Now I need a US Lakland

It sounds great, not as good as the US 55-94, but still great. The feel of the neck and overall build quality is ~7/10, whereas my 55-94 is close to a 10/10.

If she's only ~7/10 and you're sighing about that, I'm always accepting donations of slightly used, well-loved, but not really played so much Laklands. She'll get a good home at my house....and she matches the freshly remodeled music room, too.

...and with the Chrome and black trim/housings? I/m not sure about that... Maybe you are referring to the Black Plastic Drop-ins?

Nice. That limited edition blue looks great. You're right that the US basses are great but the skylines are still very good basses.

I agree with that statement. My 55-01 sounds awesome and feels awesome, its just different than the 55-94. They both are great.

Just spent 3/4 hour enjoying this baby.
Blowing out my eardrums and slurping some morning java.
She has been under house arrest in the case lately,with my recent flipping going on.
This bass was my intro to the Lakland Brand.
And man I love this bass!!
Truly a keeper!!

These 44-07 basses are schweet!

So, this is my first TB post, and I am proud to show my new Lakland 55-94. This is one killer bass. I bought it new from Bass Central, they are great people over there. Unbelievable tone, feel and playability. I am a happy man.
