Ya, I'm very familiar with Rockin Robin, but they don't keep Lakies in stock, according to a long time employee, "not enough profit margin". The one that they have is a used 44-94 that they are asking $3k, WAY too much IMO.

Yeah, I was there on my last business trip to Houston and they had a few old ones. What I found curious is that they had two fretless 5-string necks for sale.

The wife and were talking about the possibility of starting a bass specialty store in Houston. I really miss selling gear and love teaching people about it. I wonder if Lakland allows multiple vendors in a city...

It's a fairly "large" small brewery in Shiner Texas, but I've seen it in several states, very easy to find in TX, OK, NM, AR, CO...

By the way, this weekend was the Shiner G.A.S.P. (Great Austin to Shiner Pedal), a bike ride of 90 miles. I have done it once, very fun, and you get to visit the factory and free beer when you get there.

I think it was a spec bass - it MAY still be there but I doubt it....my guess is that it was sold at NAMM if not before...

BUT they can make them.... it was pretty light as well IIRC.
