Actually I think Doug on the floor just became a meme. The only thing missing from that photo are dark socks ala a German tourist at Disneyland, apologies to any Germans for the stereotype.

I went to a VERY conservative Christian college in Western New York - no drinking dancing or smoking; any of those would get you kicked out of the school. So, of course I ducked out and went to all of the Talas shows I could!

NAH, screw the neighbors...
They are mowing lawns on Sunday morning at like 7:30am...
so me playing my loud obnoxious bass mid afternoon on a weekday never hurt.

But I feel a bit bad for my pooch.
But he goes to the 1st floor of the house and goes to the other end of the house and hangs out till I am done playing....Guessing it is not that bad for him there.

I insulated the floor/ceiling of my basement for sound proofing BUT the bass still gets through to the first floor.....kind of interesting when my daughter is practicing her clarinet and I am bassing it in the basement office/music room....hope I do not throw her off too much!

Meaning - if you are brave enough to pose there - in that holy space - and then let people post it on the interwebz, then I should be okay with the load-out pinup pose across the top of a pair of 4 x 10's.

so...I am a role model now? sheesh ! the pressure....

as for "holy space"....yup....there is a constant line outside of people waiting to get in to get a pic of their bass or guitar on the "spot"....but like alot of historic/revered sites, it is not as big as expected or as impressive in person....there are a few nicks and dings in the floor....I was VERY dissapointed...

played my CB550 at practice again last night....love that bass!

I call Shenanigans on that as well, demanding, don't think so. We all know that Doug secretly wants to be reincarnated as a Lakland bass.
