I just wasn't going to make him feel bad because they're not very fashionable. And they wrinkled really bad.....so they were kinda frumpy looking. I didn't want to hurt his feelings just in case he hadn't really looked in the mirror before he left home.

Also...they were packed in a bag for a week.....there was an iron in the hotel but I was lazy...

Man pop an LH3 in that sucker get the preamp switches right and increase output on trimpot and this bass might just eat up that 5594. I have that bass and thats what I did!
Well heck, I better show off my other Lakland, 55-01 Deluxe. I bought this a few months ago, and it is also incredible. All this bass did was make me realize the following:
1.) Bass is awesome
2.)Laklands are top-notch instruments
3.) Now I need a US Lakland
It sounds great, not as good as the US 55-94, but still great. The feel of the neck and overall build quality is ~7/10, whereas my 55-94 is close to a 10/10.

Cool idea, but since the actual day of arrival isn't given on custom orders it would only work in specific cases such as someone buying one from a store online or here on TB and the buyer received tracking info.

I gotta jump in on behalf of my man Doude and say that tomorrow I will wear the frumpiest shorts I own, and play my Lakkie loud and proud in solidarity.
I always say that, if I'm not at work, I'm not working. I wear some crap on my off hours that would make those shorts look like a bespoke Ozwald Boateng suit.
Have any of you guys looked over a given makers price list and 'constructed' your dream axe just as a thought experiment? My band and I were on our way to an out-of town gig and I had the F*nder Custom Shop list, so we priced out a master built that cost twice the price of my new Sad*wsky.

I gotta say, for now, my current Lakland is a dream bass. It's got the single coil CS pickup and a nice wide 1.75 man size neck, ha ha. I put Fender medium flats on it and it's a thump machine. I run it thru a Tech 21 VT Bass pedal before hitting my rig (new Fender Super Bassman 300 watt tube head > two Aguilar DB810 cabs). Major palm mute with a pick thump heaven. I step on an EHX Holy Grail for some reverb ambience during some drum/bass moments.
