I have chromes on it now, and not sure if the ebony board has anything to do with it or not, because I can't compare to a maple or rosewood fretboard, but the tone is unreal! Rich and full, with killer definition! So much tonal texture in all of the strings. Didn't have to make any setup adjustments going to the Chromes and the neck is awesome!

hmmmm....maybe you can pick it up in person in October at the GTG??? I KNOW that is a little "after" it is due but would still be cool to pick it up on site....

Not really. Anyone following our thread knows our ongoing fretboard tone debate. So, even though my first 2 posts were short, they were related to that debate and the fact that you may be hearing a difference. My 3rd post simply stated what the mod was saying about posts: "quality over quantity".

If I could multiquote from my phone, I would have. So frankly, I'm insulted and plan to remember this when it comes time for me to decide to PAY AGAin to support this website.

Is there some "how to multi quote" instructions for dummies on talkbass someplace?
Please advise if there is.
I do not own a smart phone.
I own a dumb phone.
I only talk on "talk" bass from my home or business PC.
I guess the solution could be just spend less time "talking" on "talk" bass?
