I'm trying to make it NOT sound like Geddy Lee!

really!?

Hmm, so the P is good. Tangent: I'm considering the Nordstrand P (or maybe Curtis Novak's "Charlie Christian" P) in the Duck Dunn prior to routing it for a (Curtis Novak) Dark Star.

Let's talk to Carl tomorrow and get his opinion...guess I really need to meet you there now...

Back to the LOG bass thing...

I'm less picky about the LOG bass being EXACTLY what I want...and more into the idea of getting another danged LOG bass rolling. Sheesh! I would (almost) guarantee that I'd throw down on anything we could come up with, so long as (time to get picky-ish) it was a classic shape... P or J...

That being said, I made my dream LOG bass up in my mind a year ago, and then it came out ...the skyline HoBo 30...

we got 1!!!!

29-44 to go.....:smug:

I agree...would LOVE to do another LOG bass run....tough to do through...need a corporate sponsor like BCC was last time to "take and sell the leftovers".....do not want to stick this to Mark 2x in a row....

we had an offer to make the latest BCC run (burgundy DJ4) a LOG bass but not enough interest!!!

come on guys (and girls)! if you want it...step up!!!

I will buy one...guaranteed....

Pretty sure that was a dig at your talent, not a commentary on pickups...

No, I totally get what big D is saying. I mean, I have an ash/maple 70s J that I put a Sadowsky Pre in and I keep trying to not sound like Marcus Miller. Its tough though...:p:

PS: I am finally fully moved out of Tucson and in the new place in Phoenix. Best part, my bass collection is all under one roof again.

Nice!

Congrats!

Hope the move went well!

Now...pics? Hummmmm?

Waiting about a block away from "Mecca" for the "Big D".....he is picking a bass up from Carl and asked if I wanted to come along....

Hard to pass up.....

I am sure Dan will have a report later....and maybe a Pic or 2!

Honestly, I don't know if the Darkstar is an upgrade to the Neo-Punch (if thats what you have in there). That pickup sounds monstrous and is extremely growly. Plus, that is a pretty sweet bass to put a giant hole into, just an opinion.

Oooo, the Duck with the Dude neck

And here is the happy owner!

This bass looks incredible!

The white has a great aged look to it and the blocks are really nice

"Waiting about a block away" eh?....Like with the car running? Sounds almost like a bank job to me. I Mean, the loot in that building is almost as valuable as the loot in a bank. Hey, that gives me an idea....

You went again without telling me? You're dead to me.:crying:
