I’m working on a ‘67 Galaxie myself. I have to get a lot of T Bird parts. I don’t gave a matching a Lakland though.... yet...

Oh, and it was just luck that my car matches my Scheff. The Scheff is BMW Imola red. I’m not sure what red my bird is, probably a Ford color.

Anyone know where they recommend getting a black pickguard for a Lakland Skyline Joe Osborne/44-60? (Either in Europe or the USA?) Lakland themselves said they don't have them!

I'm not familiar with what gauge string comes standard on those, but here's what Lakland sells:

Sorry for being snarky.
I'm fascinated with these instruments and how they sit in a mix (at least the 4400 series).
The finishes are cool but not a priority for me.
I've been going back and forth between a 4401 and 4402 with a 5-piece rock / R&B band.
Brought my 73' P bass to rehearsal last night (we record every rehearsal with 2 PZM's to mic pre's, to compressor, to hard drive). SVP pre to lead sled to 2x15 cabinet.
I prefer the P solo in a room but it was not as pleasing in the mix as the Lakland's (at least last night).
The Lakland's have this ability to be heard without being as loud as well as finding sonic space in a busy mix.
While the P has a big, fat, in your face presence, it sometimes gets lost without being a bit loud.
Odd that at a gig the P was the better fit.
So many knobs on these things!
