Turned 50 last week.... Wife heard me talking about my perfect bass being a lighter version of my 44-64, and offered that as a gift. There is now a 44-64 "old guy" on order. The Old Guy (TM), is a chambered 44-64 with Hipshot UL's, a 1.62" neck and EMG GZR's with a candy apple red solid finish.

Doug I knew you would like that! That is one beautiful bass! I know some players have a one in one out rule once the collectin gets to a certain size to accommodate the purchase of a new one.

Nice! That car will be so sweet!!I’m working on a ‘67 Galaxie myself. I have to get a lot of T Bird parts. I don’t gave a matching a Lakland though.... yet...
Thanks Doug! I figured that I may as well ask Leo; worst he does is say no Welcome to "old" Ted.... I've been old for 5 years now
Chambered huh? Didn't know they would do that!
Sounds great!!!
Can anyone tell me what strings (and gauge) come fitted with the Skyline 44-60s?

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]Anyone know where they recommend getting a black pickguard for a Lakland Skyline Joe Osborne/44-60? (Either in Europe or the USA?) Lakland themselves said they don't have them!
Thanks!
Lakland’s rep for playability and sound is well documented.
I enjoy all the topics we discuss here, and like seeing something new. I also don’t have any issues with the EBMM group.
