I've heard the Dark Stars can make things explode nearby. But a truck engine? Dang!I had a white HoBo with dual DS's...then my truck's engine exploded...I sold it to pickles on here, but I think he's since moved it on.
The sound was...incredible
Nah, it's cool. I like missing my USA hollowbody.![]()
Darkstar pickup in the classifieds for anyone wanting to mod...

Skyline HB with Dark Stars (in CAR)
For sure, Dan.Local dibs!

I almost put that pup in my US Glaub. I sold the Darkstar to him then bought the Korean inca silver hollowbody here on TB that has Bartolini hummers. Previously, I've had all three pickup versions of the HB- Barts, Chi's and Darkstars. The Barts are too polite for me but I wanted a great lightweight Lakland HB body/neck and this one delivers.
$390 for one is way too expensive! The new Novak ones are $285 each IIRC, which is also too high.Darkstar pickup in the classifieds for anyone wanting to mod...
Unless you're looking for warmer tones (the Barts do that well) of those three the Darkstar was the winner. In the HB I feel big singles are the way to go but absolutely at the neck.Which between the Chi's and Darkstars did you prefer? I've owned Laklands with both but never an HB. Always have and still want one though.
With all this talk of Dark Stars, I should mention that I have a Skyline HB with Dark Stars (in CAR) that I am probably going to list in the classifieds soon. I will continue to get my Dark Star fix through my shoreline gold US Dunn/Glaub (which is going nowhere!). I'll post pics of both late tonight or tomorrow, though I know some of youse guys are well-acquainted with both.![]()

Greg, don't forget I had delusional dibs on that "this ain't goin nowhere" DS Glaub before you even got it, er just after you snatched it up so I couldn't get it, even...
I just got a 55-02 from here that arrived today. I had one before but for some reason I just did not take to it. This one however is great so far... My 55-01 has been my go to for years now ...... I'll post pics later..
