Agreed. I don't know the full dynamics of what's at play here...but I own exactly one white shirt which I only bought as it was a fundraiser for my alma mater and was only $10...just wear it around the house though and that's it.

Lead guitar does not like my tee shirt design.

I buy white band shirts. And I also always regret it.
I gotta go white print on black shirt here, but.....not my logo, not my band, not my guitar player....
I'd buy that in black or white on a grey shirt. I'd buy that in white on a black shirt.

The reason I left the group message and the reason I did not return the phone call is the following. I know that I am not the most emotionally mature person. I tend to handle things poorly when I am mad. I was really upset and that's my way of handling negative emotions. I didn't want to do or say anything in haste out of anger, so I kinda isolated myself out of self-preservation. That said, I still do feel like the guy looks down on me (whether or not this has anything to do with me being a bassist) and doesn't respect me, based on how he handled this and some things leading up to it. I have been talking to the singer about this and he says the guitarist is sorry and will apologize if I give him a chance... also said that I am not really replaceable or that nobody could really add to the band what I do in terms of musicality.
Knowing what I know now (this is my first time ever printing a tee) about how that works, that the ink would not have been any extra work for me, I would go with it. But when I simply swap/invert the color with the original file, which is a very large resolution, many of the details look like s--- and I would have to rework to get it right. Apparently the shirts have already been ordered and I don't think there is any turning back at this point.

Also, I figured since I mentioned my band's name, I might as well just share the music video we did. This was a song the band wrote before I joined, but I participated in the recording. The sound/style has changed quite a bit in the "progressive" way, though.
you've received a lot of advice, and i havent read it all, so I apologize if this is repetitive.
First, for a small, initial shirt order, white ink on black shirt is always the safe move. Everyone buys black band shirts, not everyone will buy colored or white band shirts. you dont want to be sitting on unsold merch (ask me how i know)
Second, your guitarists way of communicating is really impolite and not unprofessional. I would address it with him ASAP. Calmly let him know that future critique and comments need to A. Come in a timely manner and B. In a more polite and professional manner. If he can't deal with that, says "poor you" or makes some reference to your derriere and pain, your future as a band is limited anyway. Mutual respect and common courtesy is essential for a band to grow and thrive. As soon as you start making an exception for that one egotistical prick, it will go to hell, if not soon, than eventually.
Third, I think your design is fine. If i liked your band, I would buy it (on black) but, next time, hire someone to do your art. Original art for shirts is not expensive, generally, and the computer generated graphic style can be even less expensive. This way you and your band can all agree on an artist and there is no personal involvement. Trust me, the cost is worth taking yourself out of the role of artist, and the pressure and criticism and blame that can be associated with that... your art is playing bass.

The F needs a bit of trimming, especially at the bottom, the serif makes it harder to reveal itself.

Also this. A lot of factors went into the design decision to go with white - cheaper, sells better to women, that's what are logo already has been at least since June, it kinda goes against the grain, I tried black on white early on in the process and didn't think it looked that good, etc.
I also have no experience printing shirts, know less about selling them. It really would have been nice to have more input while I was designing. All I can do is hope that people like and buy them for 10-15 dorra. The fact that some people indicated here they would buy is promising. If it doesn't work out, I will shamelessly step away from the arteest role.
Next time, when you come up with a design (or have some other creative thing to share with the band, send an email with the design attached, a request for input, and the following text:
"I'm giving you guys 3 days to respond with your input. If you don't reply by midnight ____day, I'll assume you're cool with the design, and you will have forfeited your right to criticize."
He should have realized that not replying was giving his permission, but apparently in that respect, your guitarist is a bit (maybe a lot) of a douche. Don't let him make you feel bad - he dropped the ball, not you. Just give him a time frame next time, so it's explicit, and eveyone else sees that.
I like the white on black. Kinda thinking some rust or blood on the anvil would make it cooler (yes, it's a second color), but that's about it. Hmm - maybe grey instead of white?

This comment confuses me. While almost universally true, and I agree with it specifically in this case, I thought our stance here is to always fire the drummer, regardess of responsibility.
How about fire both drummers. The one you have now and his replacement?
