Let's see those Work Horse Basses!

Wow!! Well done . And some pretty good info. I never knew Stingrays prototype history. I can now see where the Caprice / Cutlass fit into this MusicMan storyline. Kind of like going back to it’s early roots on a lot of ways yet making some refinements . Thanks so much for sharing. Your bass collection is great. I definitely understand the MusicMan appeal.
Thanks! Their my favorite Leo Fender creations. I'm in the process of gathering parts for a tribute to the MM Stingray "Old Smoothie"! Should be fun & interesting.

Ignore the fretless as it mostly stays home, but the other two go every show, about 4 gigs a month.
View attachment 2921493The Carlo is a fairly recent addition as for a long time I was rotating between my MIM P-bass, Jazz and my Artcore as they have the best vintage "Country" look (and I take that seriously). However the comfort and quality of these two eventually pushed the other two into the backseat. The Carlo was acquired a couple years ago and the Jazz has been much modded over the years (got a LDB neck this year) but has been with me since 2004

In Action.

The usual gig is two 1.5 hour sets. I do one set on each and the other is always plugged in and on the A/B switch as a backup.

I would like to give a small nod to my much-modded 1995 p-bass. Though it recently got pushed out of the rotation, it was my first bass and it has gotten at least some use in every musical situation I've been in for the past 23 years. A real workhorse and it has the scrapes, chips, and moddifcations to prove it.
