Let's spread some musical misinformation

James Jamerson said that he would go to the studio everyday and just noodle on his bass for something to do in a small room at the back of the building while others were arguing about song input and chordal framework.
But the engineers would secretly record him and he was often quite surprised to hear his noodlings used as actual bass tracks.

Same happens to Geddy Lee

George Harrison wrote "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" to express the discord in the Beatles at that time. Paul McCartney also penned a song about the discord, but that one did not make the cut. To this day, no recordings of "John Can't Sit With a Hofner Up His (B)ass" have been discovered.

Elvis admitted he couldn't hold a candle to the The Beatles. Which is why he called up Don and Phil Everly to see if they wanted to form a supergroup with him on bass and Dick Dale on lead guitar.

But Colonel Tom Parker wouldn't let him because Parker wanted to be the drummer and they said no.

They wanted Ringo, but Colonel Tom said "I'm a better drummer than him"

If Paint it Black is on the set list of the Stones, Mick is always dressed in black. Here's proof.

As a bassist you need to be trained in classical music.

Every Friday night while playing a dive bar you will invariably get a request for such works as "Ride Of The Valkyries", "Peer Gynt Suite #1" or "Suite Bergamasque" for example.
I know. If I have to play Clair de Lune one more time, I'm going pack it in and go play with a hand bell band.
