His bass strap is one of those Super-Sonic Super-Strong Super-Stretcho Super-Straps®™ — I always thought he bought those for their comfort level; He just pushes the bass down for the highnotes and ... Sharp notes are not equal to flat notes. An A-sharp is a tiny bit lower than a B-flat, because A-sharp is derived from A, while B-sharp is derived from B.
