Wow, those are much skinnier than mine:

What I really, really appreciate about LDS is that it seems like he actually means that :)

Let us know how your cab turns out too!

He's layin' my baffle board out to see if everything fits.

25"t x 20.75"w x 18"d 41hz

Please refer to my "professional" blueprint. Actually the 2 middle ports on each side will be blocked off, not unlike a GB 212V. The horizontal port support/spacers will go all the way back to the cab providing "free" bracing.

And it was sooner than expected!

That looks like an interesting cab. I wonder how it would sound with a 210... :D

Looks nice. Weight/specs?

The cabs measure 20"w x 12"h x 16"d. The one with the horn wieghs about 35 lbs. and the other about 30 lbs. They have custom made eminence long throw drivers and titanium tweeter. They are 4 ohms though, so I run the SWR in stereo mode to accomodate that.

I've used this rig everywhere from little bars to concert halls and amphitheaters, and it's performed quite well. Best of all; my entire rig, including bags, cart, and bass fits in the trunk of my Civic.

I'm in the process of changing my rig. I just purchased an Markbass LMII. I'm going to make a series speaker cable to sort out the impeadance issue, though it'll make for an 8 ohm load. I've been mildly gassing for a couple of Bergantino HT 112's, so the LDS cabs may be for sale soon and the SM400S as well.

You're the guy who lives by Lost Nation, Rd. right? I live in Downtown Willoughby, we should get together sometime.

Probably great until the 2x10 farted out at a quarter the watts ;)

I was going to say a 210 is not needed, but I like your response much better rpsands.

I'd like to order a 2nd cab just like my 156 and turn it upside down so both 6's are right together.

First post to the club, glad to have found the thread!

I've been in contact with Don, also impressed at his communication. Very responsive!

Here's my situation, and I'd love to get some feedback from the club:

I've got an swr 4x10 (goliath II) that I love the sound of, actually, it's perfect for what I do in every respect except weight and transportability. (98lbs, & I drive a small hatchback). I'm hoping to split the 4x10"s to 2 cabinets.

Also, I do a fair amount of live sound work at a venue with horrible floor monitors, and occasional small PA-for-hire work, but no longer have PA mains.

The thought occurred that I might be able to kill 3 birds with 1 stone here, and have received a (very, very fair) quote for a pair of the following:

2x10's neo's
1x 6.5 non-neo mid
1 tweeter
L pads for each mid and tweet
rear of box tilt-back cut for floor monitor use.
diagonal speaker arrangement for the 10"s, putting the mid and tweeters into the unused corners.

If these work well for floor monitors, I'd probably later put pole mount flanges on the bottom for use as PA mains.

Thoughts? Mainly, I'm wondering if a vertical arrangement of the drivers would make more sense than the diagonal I've spec'd.

These cabinets would not be used with any other extension speakers, and would be used with 4-string instruments pretty much exclusively when used as bass cabinets.

TIA!

You will not believe what a full body massage and a face blasting in one fell swoop feels like ; }

Actually it was overkill for me with two 3015LF and a 6ND410 and I've played in some pretty loud bands with two guitarists with no sense of dynamics. I ended up just grabbing more wattage for one cab instead.

That's good news. I'm hoping that even though the cab is only 25" tall that I'll be able to step 3-4' out and have excellent off axis midrange response.

GB, if I find that I'm having to turn down my 6" with one 15"KLLF, should I just get a 115KLLF cab to add for the loud gigs?
