The eq on the TFunk have helped a lot. I would like a naturally "warmer" cab to possibly pare with a tube amp. Not really needed though since I expect both of mine would sound great. I just like gear.

Ralph's crossover in mine is not to "fEarful spec". Mine uses an attenuator for the mids instead of a pad. Five years laters, hundreds of gigs, absolutely no issues, despite what the acolytes told me to the contrary.
That said, it's a totally custom shop, of course. He will build just about anything you like if you know what to ask for.
+1! Don does not build fEARful cabs, a good thing in IMO; his cabs are second to none in my experience.

Why would Don Oatman use crossovers designed for a fEARFUL, in his cabinets. Ralph's crossovers are amazing. I have a LDS 2x8 Three Way with two of them.

There's not a single answer to that question.
There are several variations of approved fearful crossovers, a "top shelf" model, and a "good but cheap model."
And, I think Don and Ralf both have their own ideas about the Ff specs and have tweaked them on many occasions.
If you want a 100% built certifiably to spec Ff cab; LDS is probably not your guy.
Having said all that, I currently have three he built me, a 15/6/1 and a 12/6/1+12 sub, and they're pretty much all I use.

My old LDS 1212/6/1 cabinet has a beautiful transition from the low through the highs, crossover built by Ralph. The number of components in the crossover and the outcome tell the story. LDS makes the best 3-way that I have ever heard.
It's been awhile since I've been on TB and recently contacted Don about another cab build. I'm thinking of a two way 12/6 cab or 212/6 cab for home use. I recently snagged a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.2 head for $200 locally and wanted a cab for home use that would sound clean. I owned the Streamliner 900 in the past and favored my tube heads over it, but the 6.2 sounds great through my LDS Faital neo cab. Don suggested a two way 112/6 neo 4ohm cab for the light weight which I'm also considering.

I called Don just to check in and, he was in the middle of moving to another house, I think. It sounded like he was pretty busy. That was maybe a month ago. Don is truly a good man.
