I have an outdoor gig this Sat- I would never tryu that with a 12......ANY 12, LOL. I am debating the 15/6 alone or possibly putting an Epi 210 under it. I think I may just fly with the 15/6 and M9.....even outdoors (with our PA of course).
The 15/6 will take a huge amount of volume (like 1000w+) BUT be careful the cab doesnt jump around on you as it did for me. Probably sticking a heavy-ish amp on top would help.

It will go loud though... and more importantly still sound great.

I have successfully used the 12/6 for several outdoor gigs. It's just that those gigs were lower volume, country/bluegrassy/folk gigs. If you want to rock, use the 15/6. Unless the group is rediculously loud, it should be adequate.

I have blasted it with my M9 (gain and master both at 1 o'clock, '08 passive Fender AmJ 5 with tone rolled back 50%, both pup volumes dimed, slight boost at 150Hz on the graphic) sitting on top and the cab elevated 2' on a folding stand. It was a hotel ballroom with about 250 people-it performed admirably and didn't budge. That was indoors, however, so I was still thinking about a 210 under it Sat., but screw it-I'll leave the 210 at home. I don't think the dragon will need any help ;)

i finally get to use my new 15/6.5 tonight .

I just got off of the phone with Don and he is getting started on my cab!! can't wait...

lucky you. plans for my cab were agreed upon in mid March, yet I'm still waiting for him to even start my cab. I even sent him the speakers! He was supposed to call me this week, but I have'nt heard from him yet. I'm getting that Dr Bass feeling. :bawl:

He told me in an email I could expect a ten week build time - is this a reasonable expectation? I really want one of his cabinets and am willing to wait, but want an informed opinion of how long it will take.

Patience Brother. I ordered mine in February and he is just starting them this week.

He's a one man show and he delivers something I am willing to wait for.
