Meris Enzo Synth Pedal

@GisserD Sorry hear the 'Enzo Editor and Librarian' is not working for you. I'll reach out and see if I can help.

I don't think the ChaseBliss midibox supports bi-directional communications. Both editors required bi-directional communications. Possible options include: Meris Midi I/O box; Disaster Area Devices qConnect, Empress MidiBox2.

Chase Bliss have tip and ring (or tip and sleeve) the opposite way round from Meris and Empress which might be the source of the problem. Some boxes have internal jumper switches to flip the orientation.

i asked the question to Chase Bliss and they came back with the following....

"Our MIDI boxes are compatible in regards to *sending* MIDI to the pedal, however, they do not perform MIDI I/O functions. Send only, no receive."

which is a little annoying as it does say on their website that its "compatible". But its not a huge loss, as i only really need send on my board.

I find this demo more more interesting, and that was the demo that made me buy it ;

Holy crap. I'm a guy with three analog keyboard synths and a number of soft synths, and sonically, this keeps pace with semi-modular mono synths and hardwired 4-voice poly synths easily.

Considering I've already got a Mercury 7 and completely love it, it looks like I'm headed down a certain angled metal chassis shaped rabbit hole.....

My Enzo is driving me up the shaging wall and I'm ready to throw something through a window at this point. No amount of googling has found me a solution and even my friends experienced with MIDI and Meris pedals in particular haven't been able to help me.

I'm running a Yamaha BT01 into the Meris MIDI I/O into two Empress Pedals and the Enzo. The very first time I tried setting everything up, it worked amazing, however the Enzo has stopped working with this set up. Both my Empress pedals are still working fine, allowing me to change parameters and store/recall presets through a different web app (specifically the Sysex.io Enzo editor) but the Enzo is not responding to commands. If I turn the pedal on or off, or turn the knobs the editor will know that I am making inputs to the pedal and display those changes but will not issue commands to the pedal over MIDI. Running OSX, and have tried restarting the computer, and cycling power to both the MIDI I/O and the Enzo itself.

-The lights on the MIDI I/O are showing the proper passage of data through the I/O.

-I have factory reset the pedal over and over again.

-I have gone through the global configuration over and over again and it just does. not. work.

-Neither the I/O or my wireless MIDI transmitter are the issue, as the Empress pedals are working like a champ.

I was having such an awesome time with this pedal once I found a tool that made changing the parameters and saving presets easy, and now I am absolutely heartbroken that I can't go back to using it that way. The pedal itself seems fine, and will run with no issues when on default settings (non-MIDI). It will just not cooperate when I try to use MIDI.

TL;DR: Meris Enzo will send MIDI data to an online editor webapp which will reflect the settings on the pedal in real time, however the pedal will not receive MIDI commands.

Make sure you have good trs cables that are well seated in the sockets. Double check that you are using a TRS cable. Check the midi channels are set properly. Try swapping cables or different slot on the midi IO. See if it works with a usb to midi to rule out BT issues. If that doesn’t work contact Meris.

I can't be sure about this.... But the led on the back of the Enzo blinks when it receives midi?
Could help you locate the fault.
If I'm wrong, apologies I must be confusing it with another pedal

This is probably a dumb question, but has anyone figured out a way to adjust the output volume? I know there is a mix knob to go between wet and dry. And I understand there is a way to change the input volume for guitar/line-level. But how do you adjust the volume of the synth signal? From my experience with other synths, the settings of oscillator, filter, and such can REALLY change perceived volume, especially live.
Did you ever figure this out? I had this same issue with Enzo and yet again with Hedra. The output volume is way to hot! Then, when I adjust the mix, I get (of course) mostly dry but little synth. Very frustrating because the output going into my subsequent pedals is distorted/clipping. I’m really close to getting rid of it and just going with an H9 Core w/PitchFactor algorithms.

On the Enzo if you bring down the filter resonance it will reduce the volume issues.

I haven’t had much of a volume issue on Hedra, except for having too much delay feedback. Fixed by turning the delay feedback down or using a different delay mode.

Another alternative would be to run the pedals into a compressor or limiter.

There are lights on the back but they are labeled "TRS Stereo" and "Line/Synth Level". Neither of them do anything when MIDI data is being sent in either direction.

I've updated the Editor and Librarian for the Enzo.
New Features include a Patch Generator, Ability to save and restore all 16 presets, and a new export feature that lets you save multiple patches to file to make sharing easier.

Support for Mac and Windows, Download:

Y'all want to get this, it's amazing.

Anyone who wants a few patches I programmed while I borrowed @GisserD's pedal is welcome to them:
