Sweet 412 cab! Bet that rig has tons of booty!

I can't wait for my 810. I really do dig the 12s, but I'm missing the punch of the 10s.

Also, this weekend I was listening to some clips I recorded on my old Bass 400. I think after I get the cab paid off and a new 4 banger, I might snag up a bass 400+ to have and to hold and never ever sell. Not planning on selling anything... I just really want that mesa tube bass tone.

I was watching that one, until I saw that he doesn't take Paypal, and his feedback is a little funky.

Plus, I better try one first, to make sure it's the sound I'm after. I remember the BB750 I tried a year or two ago being a little "dark" sounding for my tastes, so I'm worried the Titan might be the same. Guess I need to check out the Titan and the Carbine to make sure which one will work best for my tastes (there's supposed to be a Carbine at a dealer only 70 miles from me, so if it's there, I'm gonna check that out today).

And the M-Pulse 600 just has WAY too many mid controls for me. I much prefer a more straight forward, user friendly EQ section.

EDIT: Just found out that they have a Carbine and a BB750 there for sure, so I'm off to check stuff out.

Here's my walkabout head on top of two Berg 115's

I love my Mesa walkabout! I have recently been thinking about an mpulse 600 for this rig, because it's a tad underpowered. Just love the walkabout's tone... I just need something a little bigger to really get these cabs moving.

+1 to the mention of the 600 having a whole lot going on the front panel. I'd almost consider a fathom if It had the same tubeiness as the mpulse line :hmm: I kinda like the "plain jane" look to it.

Any thoughts?

Pat.

Well, I ended up coming home with the Carbine. It was the EXACT sound I was after!! So now my rig is complete (except for picking up a rack and a tuner):

Mesa M6 Carbine
Mesa Vintage Powerhouse 810

Pics to follow!!

Now I can quit this damn amp shopping!! Word of advice---just because the band you are playing with using IEM's with no amps onstage, DO NOT sell your main rig. One never knows what the future holds.:hmm::rollno: (in other words, I am now with a band that actually moves some air on stage:hyper:)

What dealer is 75 miles from Fargo and has the BB750? I may need to take a ride one of these weekends.

Lex,

The dealer is Kenny's Music Shoppe in Grand Forks, ND. Very cool little store.

Unfortunately, the person I talked to on the phone before heading up there was unaware that the BB750 had sold already.

Doesn't American Guitar and Band in Maple Grove have one in stock??

Why don't just buy a separate poweramp? I love the tone of the walkabout myself and that's what I'd go for if I needed some extra power.

Hi there

I play this set for ten years now, and I will play it happilly ever after :bassist:
Just aquired a memberhip number and hopefully I ll become an official club member soon.
It is an M2000 head boosting a 115 and 210 Boogie cabs.
Top gear and a real workhorse in my opinion. Never did a single thing on it apart from tubes, and I also fitted a ground lift switch at the D.I cause that was a real con.
Happy bassing everyone ;)

:(

Someone just told me about a powerhouse 215 at a local pawn shop for $299. I have a strong feeling it's going to be in my apartment come tomorrow night. Once the 810 gets here I might have to try out the 2 ohm switch on the titan...
