just to add.... When I received my M6 the warranty form had an extensive questioniare about the dealer... I was thinking whoa, these guys arent' fooling around. They covered all the bases. Now, if they actually use that information I don't know. My Dealer Mark at Bass Club Chicago was most excellent.

I will also say that my past experience with Mesa was not great, getting mixed answers and always the recorded voice thing first.

Currently I've received timely and very good response. I gave my serial number asking if it needed any of the upgrades etc.
According to Mr. Staller, mine is fine and I haven't had any issues.

Even if Mesa had that kind of agreement/requirement with their dealers, that would entirely be between Mesa and the dealer.
If a dealer then chose to violate that agreement, David would still be blameless in the deal.

Well of course David would be blameless, its just one of those things that I try to avoid doing.

A lot of us have gotten handshake deals in the past (not saying this one is) and its common courtesy not to go public with the details. But apparently this dealer wasn't to concerned about it so no big deal.

Anyway, if anybody wants to know why I know this...
When I was looking for my second Powerhouse 1x12 there wasn't one anywhere in Chicago. I called Mesa customer service and asked if they could locate me one at another dealer. I was informed that they don't keep tabs on what the dealers have in stock and that even if they did, they are not allowed to ship outside their dealer territory unless the person is something like 200 (don't remember the exact number) miles from the nearest dealer.

I ended up finding one at a dealer outside of Milwaukee and since I wanted to visit a friend in Green Bay, I picked it up on my way to see her. I don't have reason to doubt the above because Mesa has been famous for protecting their pricing structure and dealer network in the past, but I suppose I could have been misinformed.

Anyway, I won't bring it up again and derail the thread.

Well, I had called all the dealers listed in NY over last two days and none of them had a Carbine in stock or on order. So, this was only way I could get one now.

But I did speak to a couple of other out of state dealers who had a Carbine or two on order, and none of them indicated there would be any problem shipping to NY state once it was in stock.
That's odd, I just got an email from Rudy's less than a week ago and they had one in stick at the current price point and they didn't say anything about not being able to ship to me in Madison? I ended up driving to Rockford this last weekend, however and got a Fathom at Guzzardo's Music.

I could see how a Manufacturer could regulate strict pricing but I just can not understand how one could tell a Dealer who they can sell to and who they can not. Dosn't add up to me.

My M6 arrived today (from Rudy's by the way). I cannot believe how loud this amp is. And talk about head room.....for days!!! Great tone...punchy, thick, articulate and fast. I have a gig this Saturday and cannot wait to crank it with my Bergie AE410.

Yeah, cool man! I really love mine. Your cab will be a smoking ruin before you run out of headroom, no worries there.
Here's my favorite 'Rock' setting: Gain at 1 o'clock, other controls flat, rotate Voice control fully clockwise. Adjust Bass control to taste. Stand back, play. Proceed to rock out.
