The amp and preamp fit perfectly into a very cool hard sided soft notebook sized case I found.

That is one sweet setup.

I think people have to keep their expectations realistic. A small rig IS going to sound alot less than a big rig.Questions for the thread...I'm moving away from recently having big cabs (dual 4x10s - now gone) and carting around a full rack with a really, really powerful amp (QSC PLX 3402). In the past I've hauled around even bigger stuff (dual SWR Triads, SVTs, etc.), so the concept of a mini-rig that can get it done in most real-world situations has growing appeal the older I get. I'd like something that's modular - say a primary cab + extension, but also something I can also grow horizontally a bit if I'm playing against soon-to-be-deaf guitarists.
I've been investigating smaller, full-range cabs as an option, but then stumbled across the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. 12/6.5/1 on top, 15 beneath, with a built-in amp for the whole thing. So I could load in amp/cabs, Zoom B3 as a total effects setup and basses in one trip....amazing concept. AND, at that price, I could have a whole another MB1215 in the car in case things look like their going to get out of hand, and just run L/R out of the Zoom into those and have a stereo, full-range rig that actually should (theoretically) move quite a bit of air.
Honestly, the only thing I'm having a hard time coming to grips with is the whole "not at ear-level" thing with smaller rigs. Does anyone find that problematic, or use amp stands to get cabs up off the floor a bit?
Thoughts? Do you think a double-tiny stack setup like this could keep up with most gigs you'd be playing? I'd just hate to commit to this approach, sell off the QSC and find myself lacking in power down the road......

Drop in a 5LB GK MB800 and you will have a big smile on your face. I guarantee it!![]()
Here´s my new rig. Maruszczyk Barabas combo with extension cab. 400w with the extra cab. 300w without it. Haven´t had the chance to try it with aa baand yet though.
