I know this is really late Steve Doner, but how do you get 800W? Markbass say it's
  • Power amps: 500W (digital) driving the speaker + 100W (analog) driving the HF horn

Typo or brain fart. Meant to say 600. :-)

It's a sweet amp, but when schlepping gear I generally take my little Markbass 1x12 cube and a direct box.

Forty pounds, 800 watts, biamped combo.

Nice rig and nice gear, but what the hell are you doing with the digitech multi-fx??? It isn't expensive but it is the worst sounding piece of gear I ever bought. I like other Digitech gear. The Jamman loopers are very good. But the BP200.... It ruins your sound in a second. I hope you're just using the drum patterns. No offense intended at all, just curious.

Thanks. The Digitech was my first effects unit and I used it a little to fill in for effects I didn't have standalone boxes for. The sound was ok when used in the parallel fx loop but terrible in front of the input. I'll probably give it to a guitar player buddy of mine who plays bass now and then.

That's the way to keep the competition out of business...:-)

My favorite mini rig- Markbass Alain Caron signature combo (I disconnected the tweeter) and orange micro terror with a 10" fender cab. I split them with a Pigtronix Disnortion, clean out to bass amp, dirty to guitar amp.

GK MB Fusion 800 into a 4ohm Schroeder 1210L. (Driven by my '00 hot rod P-bass, '98 Warwick Fortress, or '02 fretless Stingray. Sold the charcoal frost p-bass pictured). This rig KILLS! Replaced my monster SWR 4X10/1X15 stack; SM-400, Goliath III, and Son of Bertha. This mini rig has better tone AND more volume. Amp and cabinet comes in at about 40 pound total.

I'm currently trying out the Mesa D-800 as well, and look to possibly try the Aguilar TH500 after that. I'm new to D-class amps and want to get the one that's perfect for me (and my cab).
