Mini Rigs of Doom Four

Latest DIY amp indulgence on top of Audiokinesis TC112v1. I'm calling it a 600 watter, and it weighs 8.8 lbs.

I just might actually have a one trip load-in option now, for the first time in quite a while.
...you built a Euphonic Audio Doubler??????

Why not?
Here again are the (settled upon along time ago) requirements:

As you can see, no height restriction is mentioned.
Not trying to pick on ya or start an argument, just hoping to clarify.

If a rig is too tall that does not constitute as mini, Lol!!!! If you can get it all with one trip without a cart and you are loud as heck then that counts as a MROD. Bass and amp included.

I started with fairly similar design goals, but the implementations are actually quite different. The new one is a spinoff of this older build: A DIY 500 Watt Bass Head

Mine is only one channel (plus an Aux in), is optimized for EUB rather than AUB, has a much steeper variable HPF (a la fdeck's), and a one band fully parametric EQ. All of that works a little better for my wants and needs than the two iAmps I used to gig with for a few years. Factory repair is a lot closer this way too...Link Removed

....and if your build are like mine, a lot more frequent too ;) I am mostly building pedals. We have to swap "recipes".

I'm not trying to troll, and this is not directed at anyone in particular. I enjoy seeing pictures of people's rigs. I don't enjoy (as much) reading arguments about the "rules" and whether a particular rig has enough power or is small enough to be a mini rig of doom. I suggest that we stop trying to be the mrod police and enjoy the pictures and discussion of rigs, and let the occasional unwitting person post pics of their SVT without comment. Only a suggestion, take it for what it's worth.

[EDIT] Please?

We live in sad times when people don't even understand instructions. Everything we do these days has to be idiot-proofed for society's D-students.
However, by all means, post your 6-foot, 300-lb. rig as a MROD. We wouldn't want anyone's feelings to be hurt.

This thread needs a moderator with a clear definition of MROD, and when they erase a post because it doesn't qualify, it isn't open to discussion. Kinda like The Gong Show.

Couldn't agree more. However, those users violating the MROD posting rules should also be permanently banned, and fined, and doxed. Then we should start another thread dedicated to ridiculing their grotesque, bloated, flabby "lead sleds" and 2x15 cabs with their horrible ferrite magnets and casters. Peasants.

Hey Mark,
Did you get rid of your BBE preamp? How do you like the VT pre?
Take care,
Brent
No, Brent I still have the BBE. The VT pre is fantastic. Great old school tone. Using it in a prog rock band I'm in, Green Star Relief Station. This photo was taken at a recent recording session and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

I still use the BBE in my Country band and other gigs where the SVT type overdrive isn't needed. It's a great pre as well!
