One more change. Increase roster size to 28, and limit roster size in August to 30. Will do a number of things:

1. Pitching staffs are now about 13, rather than the 10 it generally was in the 70s. This would allow teams to have an actual bench.
2. Would stop the stupidity of 40 man roster when the most important games are being played.
3. Should keep the union happy, since more players would still be getting time toward their pension.

#$&-&$#@, I just HATE making sense.

The Brewers have now lost 7 in a row and face Kershaw tomorrow. I'm predicting 22 strikeouts for Kershaw.

My guys lost 8 of 10 going into the break.
Tonight...I feel fine.

Wake up tomorrow morn with a song in your heart, knowing that Harvey’s Wallbanger will be on the air tonight!

Day Umm, they’re a really good young team...in contention!

...said the guy whose good, young team is also interesting and exciting this year! ;)

I still think they will make the playoffs, but this streak has been dreadful. I wish they would just put the bat on the ball and not swing for the fences, especially with 2 strikes. There is no reason Broxton should be going for a home run when his speed is his biggest asset.

I sure hope the Mariners have now gone through their patented swoon and limited it to last week. They seem to be getting it back together. Felix seems to be figuring out how to pitch, not just hurl now. It didn't do him any good, but it was a good sign. Yesterday's blowout was a better sign. I sure hope they keep winning enough to finally make the playoffs. I'm not a Cubs or Red Sox fan, fer chrissakes! I don't want to have to wait until I'm dead to see the World Champion Mariners.

I see you are looking at Asdrubal Cabrera from the Mets - would be a good pickup. At this point he's mostly a 2B, but he can still fill in at SS and 3B, and is hitting the !%!~@$~@ out of the ball. With Cano out of the playoffs, it would be a nice pickup.
