Amen. But if that's true, right up there with the division is their bullpen. They need another arm, and they're about to bring Shaw back. He lost about 5 games consecutively for them, and he scares me.
Pitching is a perpetual problem for the Rox. I think they're closer to solving it with Bud Black as manager than they ever have been, but I'm not sure they've solved it.
Mariners have decided to pinch a loaf. As a well trained Mariners fan, I am descending into darkness, despair, and predictions of a 2019 World Championship.
But they beat the hated Giants today and for that, a big thanks.

Well as a Dodger fan I can’t root for the Cubs. But they are a classy organization. I am rooting for the pride of the University of San Diego, CB, to get healthy and come back strong. Just hope there’s still room for him...I never pull for the giants either but I tell you what. I'm pulling for them right now.

Let's hope it's the future. Oakland got within a game of Seattle for the last wild card. Now, the Mariners are a couple games up on them and only four back of the Astros. Astros are in town for three games, starting tonight. This could be great! ... or really suck. Even so, this is the latest in the season I have actually had a reason to pay attention for many years.
Man. A 1-1 game in the 10th inning is brutal baseball to watch. Come on, Sox. Finish the Phillies off already!
