Modulus Mob

I think we all have the same daily looksy for them. Yes. It is a Vertex. From Reverb. Didn't think my offer would be acceptable, but 3 seconds later i paid for it
I, too, was looking at that. Trying to convince a friend to buy it, so I could buy it off of him later. $900 for what's pretty much a weirdly shaped FU-4, to my understanding? Sounded like a steal.

Cool. Never hurts to ask.

Are you getting along better with your G. Gould?
I am digging the 1998, but I do not like my 2016 at all. Would sell that one in a heartbeat. The 1998 though is a keeper.

I have to agree. It was a good price. Around where I am, if you want to try a Modulus, people generally call me. (yup).. Between my guitarist (he has 9 models of guitar) and myself (I now have 12) you can certainly find a Modulus to try out.. I am interested in this one with the thicker neck. 4 string was the only drawback, but I like having a good backup 4 string to my GVJ4

I know you're calling the Vertex neck thick compared to your earlier basses that don't have relief systems, but as the current owner of 3 (one Vertex bass and two Vertex necks that I've put on project basses), I'd say that they still feel relatively thin and the shape combined with the satin finish make them fast as hell. The body is a bit odd and not the most comfortable while seated, but I love the necks and definitely dig the tone too (for certain applications). All that said, it couldn't sound more different from a Genesis VJ - the only thing they have in common is the number of strings! ;)

If you don't love it when it arrives, let me know - I'd happily pick it up for what you paid. If you love it and just wish it was a different color, I've got a spare loaded gray body in excellent condition that I'd let go of for short money.
