I wonder what letter M stands for in their model names. My bass is called a DJB-5M, whereas their website refers to DJB’s as DJB-50X.

Hi. I'm looking for an old GOLD one that still has some golden color to it.

What strings? Do you mean 4 or 5? I'm looking for an 80's vintage 4 string Moon bridge with the Moon logo stamped on it. Thanks.

Ah sorry, I meant to ask the amount of strings. But currently there’s only this one on the Japanese Yahoo auction. Which is where I would look because they pop up every now and then.

@MIJ Enjoyer totally hooked me up with this great service, found the bridge I was looking for and it just arrived. But what I didn’t see (I didn’t look closely enough) was that it is slightly different than the one I’m trying to replace. The screw holes are not quite in the right place. My bridge seems to be a sort of “high mass” version and must be from another era as this lovely gold specimen. I will keep looking!

That's unfortunate, the thickness of that bridge plate on yours is pretty wild actually, never seen that before. That's gonna be almost impossible to find.

That's what I thought when I saw this other one, which more closely resembles the Fender style. All good.

Yeah the gold on mine rubbed off over the years. I want to restore it to at least match the tuning machines and knobs, if not the original lustre.

Yeah, I thought about taking it to a plating place, but it's I'm sure cost prohibitive. Like everything in life: learn to love it.

Moon snob time- my wife was shopping in the big city with family last weekend so I went to Guitar Center to have fun. I spent 2 hours there but the whole time I wished I was at home with my Moon jazz bass and Bergantino’s! I even played a couple of $2000 instruments but my Moon and Yamaha BB’s are just peerless for the money.
